Ranger ankom sammen med en anden han-guinea-pig, Ronin. Før deres ankomst blev de holdt sammen, men havde kæmpet meget skæbt, hvilket førte deres ejer til at adskille dem. Desværre døde Ronin kort efter at han kom til os på grund af underliggende nierfunktionsnedgang. I øjeblikket er Ranger ekstremt nervøs og skræmt. Han har ikke stor lyst til at blive berørt og gemmer sig ofte, når vi kommer tæt på hans bur. Vores team arbejder dedikeret med hans socialisering og hjælper ham med at tilpasse sig sit nye miljø 🙂

Ranger arrived with another male guinea pig, Ronin. Before their arrival, they had been housed together but had been fighting significantly, resulting in wounds for both, with Ranger being the worse off. This prompted their owner to separate them. Sadly, Ronin passed away shortly after coming to us due to underlying kidney failure that we were unaware of. At the moment, Ranger is very nervous and skittish. He isn’t comfortable with handling and always hides when we approach his enclosure. Our team is committed to working on his socialisation and helping him adapt to his new surroundings, but this process is taking time, especially since he was on multiple medications when he first arrived and has been through a lot of stress due to the treatments & vet visits. Since Ranger has been neutered, he may be able to live with a female guinea pig for companionship, which could help him feel more secure! He needs a home where he can receive plenty of time and patience. With the right love and care, we believe he will begin to express his personality and learn to feel more comfortable around humans.
