Adopt Ranger
Male · Young · 3 years
Ranger arrived with another male guinea pig, Ronin. Before their arrival, they had been housed together but had been fighting significantly, resulting in wounds for both, with Ranger being the worse off. This prompted their owner to separate them. Sadly, Ronin passed away shortly after coming to us due to underlying kidney failure that we were unaware of. At the moment, Ranger is very nervous and skittish. He isn’t comfortable with handling and always hides when we approach his enclosure. Our team is committed to working on his socialisation and helping him adapt to his new surroundings, but this process is taking time, especially since he is on multiple medications and has been through a lot of stress due to the treatments & vet visits. Since Ranger has been neutered, he may be able to live with a female guinea pig for companionship, which could help him feel more secure. He needs a home where he can receive plenty of time and patience. With the right love and care, we believe he will begin to express his personality and learn to feel more comfortable around humans.
