Toby was brought to us after he ran in a panic over the road and luckily caught by a vigilant finder. Once he was safe with us, we soon saw that he found many things exciting. It took him some time to start trusting people, but with patience and rest he dared to open up more and more. The kennel is clearly not the place where Toby feels comfortable. He experiences a lot of stress here and prefers that unknown people disappear as soon as possible.That's what he shows with barking and raising his lip. Toby is very wary and lets us know when he doesn't feel safe. We also noticed that Toby likes to keep his food to himself. He defends his food if he thinks it can be taken away, so it's important that he be left alone with food. But outside his kennel, on the playing fields, you see a whole other side of him. Once he knows you, Toby is incredibly affectionate. He prefers to crawl on your lap, give kisses and enjoy visible attention and pets. There you see how much love is in this guy if you just take a moment to gain his trust. Hiking is something Toby has a lot of trouble with. Everything that passes by from humans to other animals to vehicles . He reacts violently and has clearly never learned what relaxed walking looks like. The stress that he experiences while walking makes him completely lose his rest. That's why we're looking for a home for Toby with a spacious, well-fenced garden, where he can snoop safely, play and lose his energy without needing to be walked daily. The standard walk four times a day is not feasible for him at the moment and is not necessary if he has the right outdoor space at his disposal. Toby is looking for a special place with people, without other pets and without small children, who are limits
