Ein paar Wochen nach seiner Ankunft wurde klar, dass er einige Probleme mit seinen Hinterbeinen hat. Nach Röntgenaufnahmen stellten wir fest, dass er Hüftdysplasie hatte. Wir mussten dann auf Floyd warten, bis er vollständig gewachsen war, bevor wir zu einem Spezialisten in London überwiesen wurden. Nach vielen Scans und weiteren Röntgenaufnahmen wurde klar, dass seine Hüftdysplasie nicht operabel war. Es gab einfach zu viele Dinge, die gegen eine erfolgreiche Operation standen. Also haben wir die Entscheidung getroffen, nicht zu operieren und Floyds Leben so bequem wie möglich zu machen, solange wir können. Ein Teil davon war Hydrotherapie. Die wir ehrlich sagen können, hat sein Leben verändert. Er hat Monate damit verbracht, die Muskeln aufzubauen, um dort zu beginnen, wo seine Hüftgelenke versagen. Er hat von mehreren Schmerzmitteln auf Medikamentenfreie Medikamente umgestiegen und sich nun wie ohne Probleme fortbewegt. Wir brauchen eine sehr besondere Familie, um Floyd zu adoptieren. Wir sind bereit, alle medizinischen Kosten im Zusammenhang mit Floyds Hüften zu übernehmen und weiterhin für seine wöchentliche Hydrotherapie zu zahlen, die in Deal liegt. Wir werden lebenslange Unterstützung anbieten, um sicherzustellen, dass Floyd die beste Pflege erhält, die wir ihm geben können. Floyd ist ein so netter und liebender Hund, aber er ist ängstlich, also wird es Zeit brauchen, bis er Sie vertraut und liebt. Er hat sich so weit von dem ängstlichen Welpen entwickelt, der angekommen ist. Floyd ist katzengerecht erzogen und völlig stubenrein. Er liebt ein Planschbecken und Nickerchen auf dem Sofa. Our team will read the application and make sure it is the right match for the dog being applied for. 2 We will arrange a home check If you and the dogs seem a good fit we will call you to discuss further, arrange to meet the dog and arrange a physical home check at your home. 3 Matched with your dog Once we have agreed together that this is the right dog for you we will arrange for your dog to come to you. Depending whether this is via kennels or foster homes it may vary. 4 Ongoing Support We love to keep in touch with everyone and hope you will reach out if you have any concerns or questions. We work with a number of local trainerers and behaviourists too who can provide support. Could you be my perfect match? Hello! My name is I can live with Dogs Cats Children MY story Floyd has been with us some time. A few weeks after he arrived it became very clear he has some problems with his back legs. After X-rays we discovered he had hip dysplasia. We then had to wait for Floyd to finish growing before we were referred to a specialist in London. After many scans and more X-rays it became apparent his hip dysplasia was inoperable. There were just to many things going against the surgery being a success. So we made the decision not to operate and make Floyd’s life as comfortable as we could for as long as we can.Part of this was hydrotherapy. Which we can honestly say has changed his life. He has spent months building up the muscles to take over where his hip joints fail. He has gone from multiple pain medication to medication free and charging around like there is nothing wrong now. We need a very special understanding family to adopt Floyd. We are prepared to cover any medical costs related to Floyd’s hips and continue to pay for his weekly hydrotherapy which is in Deal. We will offer lifetime support to make sure Floyd has the best care we can give. Floyd is such a sweet and loving dog but he is nervous so it will take time for him to trust and love you. He has come so far from the nervous puppy that arrived. Floyd is crate trained and completely house clean. He loves a paddling pool and naps on the sofa. He is a big clumsy giant who we absolutely adore!
