Lázaro wurde mit einer Fraktur im rechten Knie zurückgelassen. Er wurde alleine an einer Straße gefunden, hinken und orientierungslos, ohne Mikrochip und niemand hat sich gemeldet, um ihn abzuholen. Obwohl die Prognose für die Fraktur schlecht war, unterzog er sich drei Operationen, um das Glied zu retten; jedoch traten Komplikationen auf und die Amputation wurde letztendlich notwendig. Da er so viel Schmerz während des Prozesses ertragen musste, passt er sich jetzt sehr gut seiner neuen Situation an, endlich frei von Verbänden, Metallmaterialien und Schmerzen. Er ist ein sehr charmanter Hund mit einem sanften, edlen Temperament. Er mag es nicht, alleine gelassen zu werden, ist aber nicht zerstörerisch und akzeptiert die Situation ruhig. Er verbrachte eine lange Zeit isoliert und mit eingeschränkter Aktivität während seiner Genesung, doch er verhielt sich bemerkenswert gut, verglichen mit dem, was er durchgemacht hat. Er weiß, Türen zu öffnen, ist aber nicht zerstörerisch. Glücklicherweise lebt er derzeit in einem Pflegeheim mit einem anderen kastrierten männlichen Greyhound und sie verstehen sich sehr gut. Er ist gut mit anderen Hunden und Kindern; wir können auch seine Kompatibilität mit Katzen testen, da wir glauben, dass er gut mit ihnen zurechtkommen würde. Die Amputationsstelle heilt schön und die Verbände werden bald entfernt.

Lázaro fue abandonado con una fractura en la rodilla derecha. Deambulaba solo, cojito y desorientado por una carretera, sin microchip y nadie lo ha reclamado. Aunque su fractura tenía mal pronóstico, se ha intervenido hasta 3 veces para intentar salvar su extremidad, pero tuvo varias complicaciones y finalmente ha habido que amputar. Como ha pasado tanto dolor en el proceso, se está adaptando ahora muy bien a su nueva condición, por fin libre de vendajes, de hierros y de dolor. Es un perro muy simpático con un carácter muy dócil y noble. No le gusta quedarse solo pero no es destructivo y se resigna. Pasó mucho tiempo solo, aislado y en reposo durante su proceso de recuperación y se portó bastante bien para todo lo mal que lo ha pasado. Sabe abrir puertas pero no es destructivo. Afortunadamente, está en una casa de acogida donde convive con otro galgo macho castrado y se llevan muy bien. Es apto con otros perros, niños y se puede probar con gatos porque creemos que puede ir bien. La herida de la amputación evoluciona bien y en breve retiraremos los puntos. Lázaro was abandoned with a fracture in his right knee. He was found wandering alone along a road�limping and disoriented�with no microchip, and no one has come forward to claim him. Although the prognosis for the fracture was poor, he underwent three surgeries in an attempt to save the limb; however, complications arose, and amputation ultimately became necessary. Having endured so much pain during the process, he is now adapting very well to his new condition, finally free from bandages, metal hardware, and pain. He is a very charming dog with a gentle, noble temperament. He dislikes being left alone but is not destructive and accepts the situation calmly. He spent a long time isolated and on restricted activity during his recovery, yet he behaved remarkably well considering what he went through. He knows how to open doors but is not destructive. Fortunately, he is currently in a foster home living with another neutered male Greyhound, and they get along very well. He is good with other dogs and children; we can also test his compatibility with cats, as we believe he would do well with them. The amputation site is healing nicely, and the stitches will be removed soon.
