Lázaro a été abandonné avec une fracture à sa patte droite. Il a été trouvé errant seul le long d'une route, boitant et désorienté, sans puce, et personne ne s'est manifesté pour le réclamer. Bien que le pronostic pour la fracture était mauvais, il a subi trois opérations dans une tentative de sauver le membre ; cependant, des complications sont survenues, et l'amputation est finalement devenue nécessaire. Ayant enduré tant de douleur pendant le processus, il s'adapte maintenant très bien à sa nouvelle condition, enfin libéré des bandages, du matériel métallique et de la douleur. C'est un chien très charmant avec un tempérament doux et noble. Il déteste être laissé seul mais n'est pas destructeur et accepte la situation calmement. Il a passé beaucoup de temps isolé et avec une activité restreinte pendant sa récupération, pourtant il s'est comporté remarquablement bien compte tenu de ce qu'il a traversé. Il sait comment ouvrir les portes mais n'est pas destructeur. Heureusement, il est actuellement dans un foyer d'accueil vivant avec un autre mâle Greyhound stérilisé, et ils s'entendent très bien. Il s'entend bien avec les autres chiens et les enfants ; nous pouvons également tester sa compatibilité avec les chats, car nous croyons qu'il s'entendrait bien avec eux. Le site de l'amputation guérit bien, et les points de suture seront retirés bientôt.

Lázaro fue abandonado con una fractura en la rodilla derecha. Deambulaba solo, cojito y desorientado por una carretera, sin microchip y nadie lo ha reclamado. Aunque su fractura tenía mal pronóstico, se ha intervenido hasta 3 veces para intentar salvar su extremidad, pero tuvo varias complicaciones y finalmente ha habido que amputar. Como ha pasado tanto dolor en el proceso, se está adaptando ahora muy bien a su nueva condición, por fin libre de vendajes, de hierros y de dolor. Es un perro muy simpático con un carácter muy dócil y noble. No le gusta quedarse solo pero no es destructivo y se resigna. Pasó mucho tiempo solo, aislado y en reposo durante su proceso de recuperación y se portó bastante bien para todo lo mal que lo ha pasado. Sabe abrir puertas pero no es destructivo. Afortunadamente, está en una casa de acogida donde convive con otro galgo macho castrado y se llevan muy bien. Es apto con otros perros, niños y se puede probar con gatos porque creemos que puede ir bien. La herida de la amputación evoluciona bien y en breve retiraremos los puntos.
