Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Mavis could live with children aged 8+. Mavis has met young children and was gentle and friendly. Children will need to be comfortable with her size and bouncy nature, as well as having some understanding of her breed traits. What type of environment would suit me? Mavis will need a garden with a minimum of 6ft fencing which is very solid and secure. As we don’t recommend Mavis goes off lead, and as a livestock guarding breed, we would advise a new family to have a large sized garden where she can enjoy spending time outside and have her own space and freedom.
