Roar has hung up his racing shoes and he’s ready to start his next adventure as someone’s loving companion! This gentle Greyhound is a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys quiet moments, a fuss, and being close to his people. He can be a little sensitive at times, Roar appreciates calm introductions and a family who will let him shine at his own pace. Roar has settled beautifully into foster home life and is now fully housetrained. He’s very calm and easy in the house, happily settling down and relaxing for large parts of the day. He’s become increasingly affectionate and trusting and will now actively seek out affection from his people. He’s also developing a wonderfully playful side! He’s happiest with gentle walks, cosy naps, and a home where he can feel safe and loved. Roar is an intelligent boy who knows his name and is responding really well to training. He’s food motivated and clearly enjoys learning, so his new family will have lots of opportunities to build on this with him. He has lovely manners around food and toys, with no resource guarding, and is proving to be a very well-mannered house guest. Roar is looking for a home away from the inner city with access to his own private garden for some space that's secure for him to burn off some energy. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home and due to being an ex racer, he cannot live with cats. He has been very good with everyone he has met aged 12+, although he is nervous around smaller children, so he would be best suited to a home with older children. Roar is proving to be a really lovely boy who is settling into home life beautifully.
