Meet Sheeba, a beautiful 8 year old girl looking for her perfect home. Sheeba is a loving and affectionate dog who forms incredibly strong bonds with her people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to be at the heart of family life, Sheeba could be the one for you. Once she knows and trusts you, she loves nothing more than spending time by your side, whether that’s heading out for a walk, relaxing at home, or simply enjoying a quiet evening together. Sheeba is looking for an experienced, adult only home, with no visiting young children, where she can enjoy a calm and predictable lifestyle. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home, as she is happiest when she doesn’t have to share her space with other animals. She is also looking for a home where someone is around for much of the day, as she can become distressed if left alone for long periods. With regular exercise, mental stimulation and a consistent routine, this is something that could be worked on if her new family are prepared to put the time and effort into helping her. She can be strong on the lead and would benefit from continued training and guidance from her new family. When out and about, Sheeba is very interested in other dogs and enjoys watching them, but she can become vocal and bark. Her new owners will need to advocate for her, manage her environment appropriately and continue building her confidence around other dogs. Sheeba can also be worried by fireworks and can find veterinary visits stressful, so positive muzzle training would be beneficial to help her feel more comfortable when handling is required. Some desensitisation work and preparation ahead of fireworks season would also help her feel more settled.
