Meet Sheeba, a beautiful 8 year old girl looking for her perfect home. Sheeba is a loving and affectionate dog who forms incredibly strong bonds with her people. Sheeba prefers to move away from young children rather than interact with them, so she is seeking a child free home where she can feel comfortable and relaxed. Sheeba already knows some of her basic cues, including sit, lie down and giving a paw, and she is very food motivated, making further training both rewarding and fun. She can be strong on the lead and would benefit from continued training and guidance from her new family. When out and about, Sheeba is very interested in other dogs and enjoys watching them, but she can become vocal and bark. Her new owners will need to advocate for her, manage her environment appropriately and continue building her confidence around other dogs. Sheeba can also be worried by fireworks and can find veterinary visits stressful, so positive muzzle training would be beneficial to help her feel more comfortable when handling is required. Some desensitisation work and preparation ahead of fireworks season would also help her feel more settled.
