Ο Joey είναι ένα μεσαίου μεγέθους σκύλος που προέρχεται από υβριδική φυλή, ηλικίας περίπου 5 ετών. Ο Joey συνελήφθη από ένα τοξικό καταφύγιο Mogosoaia, Ρουμανίας, μαζί με αρκετά άλλα σκύλα ακριβώς πριν την απαγόρευση μεταφοράς το 2021. Περίμενε σε ένα άλλο καταφύγιο πριν μετακινηθεί στο Crivatu πριν από μερικά χρόνια. Πρόσφατα ήρθε στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο για να αναζητήσει το ιδανικό του σπίτι. Ο Joey είναι φοβισμένος με ξένους και δεν θέλει να τον αγγίζουν, αλλά βελτιώνεται σταδιακά με ανθρώπους που γνωρίζει καλά. Ένας ευφάνταστος και αστειωδής χαρακτήρας αρχίζει να εμφανίζεται, ο οποίος θα αναπτυχθεί περισσότερο όταν λάβει περισσότερη ιδιαίτερη προσοχή στο ιδανικό του σπίτι. Τα Χρεώματα Για την Υιοθέτηση Από 1 Δεκεμβρίου 2025 είναι Για μικρά που έχουν ήδη εγχειρηθεί και όλα τα ενήλικα σκυλιά: £430. Μη-εγχειρημένα μικρά σκυλιά σε συμφωνίες συντήρησης/εγχείρησης: £530 (Θα λάβετε ένα έκπτωση 100 £ όταν στείλετε μας την απόδειξη της εγχείρησης). Προχωρημένα σκυλιά (10+ χρόνια): £150–£250 (ανάλογα την ηλικία και τις ιδιαίτερες ανάγκες). Πολιτική Υιοθέτησης Όταν υιοθετείτε ένα σκύλο από τη Safe Rescue, ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να χρησιμοποιήσετε ένα ζώνη σκούρας. Αυτό θα διασφαλίσει την ασφάλεια του σκύλου σας: ο νέος σας σκύλος θα είναι φοβισμένος και δεν θα έχει εμπιστοσύνη σε σας, και δεν θα ξέρετε ποιες καταστάσεις μπορεί να ενοχλήσει τον σκύλο σας. Αν ο σκύλος σας ενοχληθεί, τότε η ζώνη σκούρας είναι η μόνη τρόπος για να αποφύγετε την απόφυγη του σκύλου (πολλοί σκύλοι μπορούν να φύγουν από ένα κράσπο και/ή ένα ζεύγος). Θα χρειαστούν ΤΟΥΛΑΧΙΣΤΟΝ 3-6 μήνες για να αποκατασταθεί ο σκύλος σας και να γνωρίσετε τον σκύλο σας πλήρως (περισσότερο για φοβισμένους σκύλους). Η ζώνη σκούρας πρέπει να χρησιμοποιηθεί ΑΥΤΟΠΑΣΧΟΥΣ κατά την περίοδο αποκατάστασης. Ακόμα και μετά την αποκατάσταση του σκύλου σας, είναι ασφαλέστερο να χρησιμοποιείτε την ζώνη σκούρας σε καταστάσεις όπου ο σκύλος σας μπορεί να φοβηθεί (π.χ. επισκέψεις σε νέα μέρη, σε περιβάλλον ξένων ανθρώπων, στον ιατρό), ή σε περιπτώσεις όπου μπορεί να εμφανιστούν αναπάντευτα κινητήρια (π.χ. κοντά στην ημέρα πυροτεχνη

Joey is a medium sized crossbreed aged around five years old. Joey was picked up from a killing shelter Mogosoaia, Romania, together with several other dogs right before the transport ban in 2021. He waited in another shelter before moving to Crivatu a couple of years ago. He’s recently come to the UK to look for his forever home. Joey is timid with strangers and tense about being stroked but he is gradually getting better with people he knows well. A cheeky and comical character is beginning to emerge which will only flourish when he benefits with more one to one attention in his forever home. Joey will need at least one other confident dog in his new life. He is fine with a confident cat but would like an adult family environment. Joey fostered Wymondham Norfolk. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Policy When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.
