Αυτή η όμορφη κοπέλα είχε ανακουφιστεί αρχικά από τους δρόμους της Μακεδονίας. Είχε υιοθετηθεί και μετακινήθηκε στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο πριν αρκετά χρόνια. Είναι λυπηρό ότι στα χρόνια που ζούσε στο σπίτι της αναπτύχθηκε αντιδραστικότητα και το οικογενειακό της έπαψε να την πάρει πίσω. Η ανησυχία της και η αντιδραστικότητα που εμφάνισε ήταν αρκετά σοβαρή, και για να της δώσουμε τις καλύτερες πιθανότητες για ένα νέο ξεκίνημα βρήκαμε ένα κέντρο αποκατάστασης όπου έμεινε για αρκετούς μήνες. Υπήρχε βελτίωση αλλά το πραγματικό ξεκίνημα ξεκίνησε όταν μεταφέρθηκε στο Σακιμάς Ασυλία στο Μπλακπουλ στο Πούλτον Λι Φιλντ. Το ευχάριστο προσωπικό της ασυλίας έχει εργαστεί πολύ σκληρά μαζί της και τα αποτελέσματα είναι εκπληκτικά - φαίνεται διαφορετικός σκύλος! Η Λούνα είναι τώρα έτοιμη να βρει το τελευταίο σπίτι της με κάποιον που είναι αφοσιωμένος να συνεχίσει την εκπαίδευση και να την υποστηρίξει. Η Λούνα είναι μια όμορφη, υγιής και πολύ έξυπνη Μπόρντερ Κόλι. Είναι ένας δυνατός καταστρώτης που πραγματικά απολαμβάνει να χρησιμοποιεί το μυαλό της και αγαπά την αγωνιστική, την ευρισκολογία και τις μακρινές περιπάτους με τα άτομα που της εμπιστεύονται. Η ανάγκη της για χώρο και κατανόηση είναι μεγάλη και ο υιοθετητής της πρέπει να είναι ανεξάρτητος από την αντιδραστικότητά της και τη σημασία της συνεχούς εκπαίδευσης και διαχείρισης για να συνεχίσει τη θετική της εξέλιξη. Αυτή η χαρά είναι ένας ευχάριστος παίκτης και ένας αστειώδης ταπετιέρης που περπατά με ευχάριστα πόδια και περηφάνια σε κάθε βήμα. Είναι ευτυχισμένη και χτυπάει προς τα πάνω και φαίνεται ότι θέλει πολλή προσοχή αλλά δεν την θέλει, απλά είναι ευχαριστημένη να σε δει, ένας ελαφρύς χοντρός και ένας καλός κούτες είναι τι προτιμά. Δεν ξέρει τι να κάνει με την πολύ φυσική προσοχή και το κάνει ασφαλισμένη, οπότε είναι σημαντικό να μην την υπερφορτώσετε. Είναι μια χαριτωμένη κοπέλα αλλά χρειάζεται κάποιον με καλή κοινή λογική και κατανόηση. Για το παρελθόν της χρειάζεται χρόνος για να θερμανθεί σε νέους ανθρώπους και μπορεί να είναι λίγο υποψιασμένη σε νέες περιβάλλοντα, αλλά η εμπιστοσύνη της στους ανθρώπους τη βοηθά να αντιμετωπίσει. Έτσι χρειάζονται πολλά συναντήσεις και συνδέσεις πριν πάρει αυτή την υπέροχη κοπέλα στο σπίτι της. This gorgeous girl was originally rescued from the streets of Macedonia. She was adopted and travelled to the UK several years ago. Sadly over the years in her home she developed reactivity and the family returned her to us. Her anxiety and resulting reactivity was quite severe and to give her the best possibilities for a new beginning we found a rehab centre where she stayed for several months. There was improvement but it was when she was moved to Sakima’s Sanctuary in Blackpool at Poulton le Fylde that she really began gaining confidence. The lovely staff at the sanctuary have worked so hard with her and the results are amazing – she is like a different dog! Luna is now ready to find her forever home with someone who is dedicated to continue training and supporting her. Luna is a beautiful, healthy and very intelligent Border Collie. She is a clever cookie who really enjoys using her brain and loves agility, obedience training and long walks with the people she trusts. Her need for space and understanding is high and her adopter must be aware of her reactivity and the importance of ongoing training and management to continue her positive development. This bundle of joy is lovely and a funny little tapdancer who walks with happy feet and pride in each step. She is giddy and jumps up and seems like she wants a lot of attention but she does not, she’s just happy to see you, a little chin tickle and a good girl is what she likes. She doesn’t know what to do with lots of physical attention and it makes her insecure, so it is important not to overload her. She is a sweet girl but needs someone with good common sense and understanding. Because of her past she needs time to warm up to new people, and she can be a bit weary in new surroundings, but the trust in her humans helps her cope. Hence multiple meets and bonding will be needed before taking this wonderful girl home. She likes gentle affection on her terms but is not a cuddle bug – on the contrary she is quite happy to be on her own. Luna has come a very long way and her reactivity towards other dogs has improved immensely. She has even built friendship with one of the other dogs at the sanctuary and likes going for walks together with him. She is now also doing really well on walks in quiet areas in general and while she used to be afraid of the car, she has come to love going for drives, knowing that it is so much fun to go to explore new places with the people she trusts. The ideal home for Luna will be a calm, adult only family, with people who will enjoy walks in rural surroundings, training and activities like agility and mental exercises. With multiple meets and gradual introduction she can be with another dog, but the ideal home will be as an only dog. Spayed, vaccinated & microchipped
