Μουσκέτος (λευκό στήθος) και Μπεμπέ (μικρότερο, γκρι χείλος) είναι μητέρα και γιος που αναζητούν ένα ήρεμο σπίτι μαζί όπου θα μπορούν να έχουν επαφή τη μεγαλύτερη ποσότητα του χρόνου και να κάνουν μακρινές περιπάτησης στην περιοχή ή στην παραλία. Ένα σπίτι με εμπειρία σκύλων Cocker Spaniel θα ήταν το καλύτερο. Μπορεί να είναι εξαίσιος να γνωρίσει ανθρώπους στο σπίτι αλλά ηρεμεί μετά από λίγο χρόνο. Θα φωνάζει αν ακούσει κάποιον στην πόρτα της εισόδου. Ο Μουσκέτος είναι ο πιο φοβισμένος, καθώς μεγάλωσε κατά τη διάρκεια των περιορισμών του κορωνοϊού και δεν είχε συνήθεια να βλέπει ανθρώπους συχνά. Ο Μουσκέτος είναι λίγο πιο ανασφαλής από ανθρώπους ή καταστάσεις και μπορεί να πηδήξει πάνω σε σας αλλά ηρεμεί μετά από ένα λεπτό. Συνήθως παίρνει μερική αυτοπεποίθηση από τη μητέρα του Μπεμπέ έτσι ώστε να εργάζονται καλά μαζί και να απολαμβάνουν την κοινή τους κούρα. Η Μπεμπέ είναι πολύ φιλική και αγαπητή και θέλει απλά προσοχή. Και τα δύο είναι καλά στον κτηνίατρο. Είναι συνηθισμένοι με παιδιά και μπορούν να αφεθούν μόνοι για μερικές ώρες. Και τα δύο είναι καλά να πλυθούν και να τριφτούν και έχουν παραμείνει σε ξενοδοχεία φροντίδας πριν. Ο Μουσκέτος και η Μπεμπέ ταξιδεύουν καλά στο αυτοκίνητο και αγαπούν να κάνουν καλές περιπάτησης. Στις περιπάτησης, ο Μουσκέτος μπορεί να είναι λίγο φοβισμένος από άλλους σκύλους και τείνει να παραμείνει μακριά από αυτούς αλλά η Μπεμπέ είναι ευχαριστημένη να χαιρετήσει. Ο Μουσκέτος φοράει ένα φανελάκι και μπορεί να τραβήξει την ίνα - μπορούν να είναι αρκετά ισχυροί. Και τα δύο έχουν εκπαιδευτεί για να επιστρέψουν με πιστόλι και συνήθως επιστρέφουν ακόμη και αν εξερευνούν. Ο Μουσκέτος δεν μπορεί να αφεθεί μόνος με το σχοινί όταν είναι δεμένος γιατί έχει καταστρέψει το σχοινί προηγουμένως. Ο Μουσκέτος φοβάται τα θορύβα και έχει έχει λίγα ατυχήματα στο σπίτι και η Μπεμπέ έχει μερικά καταρράκτες. Ο Μουσκέτος και η Μπεμπέ είναι παλιότεροι σκύλοι και οποιαδήποτε ιατρική θεραπεία που χρειαστούν θα καλυφθεί από το Πρόγραμμα Γήρατος Σκύλων μας.* Ο Μουσκέτος δεν έχει καταστεί απογονικός ακόμα αλλά θα γίνει όταν θα είναι στο νέο του σπίτι (το κόστος καλύπτεται από τη DAS). Αλλά ο Μουσκέτος και η Μπεμπέ είναι ακόμα ενεργοί Σπανιέλς και αγαπούν να κάνουν μακρινές περιπάτησης μαζί. Ειδικά, αγαπούν μια καλή κολύμβηση και μπορούν να τρέξουν μερικές χιλιάδες χιλιόμετρα - τα παραλία είναι μια μεγάλη αγαπημένη. Musket (white chest) and Bebe (smaller, grey chin) are a mother and son looking for a quiet home together where they can have company most of the time and go on long country or beach walks. A home with Cocker Spaniel experience would be best. They can be excited to greet people in the home but settle after a short time. They will bark if they hear someone at the front gate. Musket is the more timid one, as he grew up during the Covid lockdowns and was not used to seeing people often. Musket is a bit more unsure of people or situations and can jump up on you but calms down after a minute. He usually takes on some of his mum Bebe’s confidence so they work well together and always enjoy each other’s company. Bebe is very friendly and affectionate and just wants attention. Both are okay at the vets. They are used to children and can be left alone for a few hours. Both are fine to be wash and brushed and they have stayed in boarding kennels before. Musket and Bebe travel well in the car and love to go on good adventure walks. On walks, Musket can be a little scared of other dogs and tends to stay away from them but Bebe is happy to say hello. Musket wears a harness and they can pull on the lead – they can be quite strong. Both have been recall trained with a whistle and usually come back even if they are exploring. Musket cannot be left unattended with his lead on as he has chewed through it before. Musket is scared of loud noises and has had a couple of accidents in the house and Bebe has a few lumps. Musket and Bebe are older dogs and any vet treatment they need would be covered under our Old Dog Scheme.* Musket is not neutered but will be once he is settled in his new home (cost covered by DAS). But Musket and Bebe are still active Spaniels and love nothing more than going on long walks together. Particularly, they love a good swim and could run for miles – beaches are a big favourite. They also love to chase a ball. *OLD DOG SCHEME: Dog Aid Scotland’s Old Dog Scheme covers dogs rehomed at 8 years old or above. This means that we will cover costs for veterinary care for the dog for the remainder of their life within reason. We do not cover costs for routine treatments such as vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. If the dog requires special dietary food we will contribute 50% of the cost. This will alleviate the worry of the financial implications taking an older dog into your home. Older dogs make great pets!
