Ο Πετερν είναι ένα μεσαίου μεγέθους σκύλος που γεννήθηκε τον Ιούνιο 2022. Ο Πετερν αφήθηκε μαζί με τα αδέρφια του μπροστά από τα πύλες του φιλανθρωπικού κέντρου στο Κριβάτου της Ρουμανίας. Λυπηρά, ζούσαν εκεί ενώ περιμέναν να έρθουν στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο για να βρουν ένα νέο σπίτι. Ο Πετερν είναι ένας χαρισματικός, φιλικός, παίχτης και πιστός άνθρωπος για την οικογένειά του, αλλά είναι λίγο δειλός όταν έρθει η στιγμή να συναντήσει ξένους. Είχε υιοθετηθεί μια φορά ως μόνος σκύλος, αλλά δεν τα κατάφερε πολύ καλά, οπότε θα χρειαστεί να έχει έναν άλλο σκύλο στην οικογένεια που θα τον φροντίσει για πάντα. Είναι καλός με την ασφαλή σκύλο-αποκαταστατικό, γιατί στην πραγματικότητα τον φοβάται λίγο. Ο Πετερν είναι πολύ πιστός και αγαπητός, είναι καλός στην οδήγηση και χωρίς οδηγό. Χρειάζεται ένα περιβάλλον ενήλικων. Αγαπά τα παιχνίδια και είναι πολύ παίχτης με τους σκύλους στο σπίτι του φροντιστή. Ο Πετερν φιλοξενήθηκε στο Νόρφολκ. Αν ενδιαφέρεστε, στείλτε μήνυμα ή καλέστε μεταξύ 9:00 - 17:00 Δευτέρα έως Παρασκευή ή 9:00 - 16:00 Σάββατο. Τα έξοδα αδολοποίησης για την ημερομηνία 1 Δεκεμβρίου 2025 είναι: Μικρά ζώα που έχουν ήδη αδολοποιηθεί και όλοι οι ενήλικες σκύλοι: £430. Μικρά ζώα που δεν έχουν αδολοποιηθεί, σε συμφωνία για αδολοποίηση: £530 (Θα λάβετε ένα άμεσο οικονομικό αντιστάθμισμα των £100 όταν στείλετε την απόδειξη της αδολοποίησης). Παλιοί σκύλοι (10+ χρόνων): £150–£250 (ανάλογα με την ηλικία και τις ιδιαίτερες ανάγκες). Όταν υιοθετήσετε ένα σκύλο της Safe Rescue, ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να χρησιμοποιήσετε ένα ιμάνι. Αυτό θα προστατέψει τον σκύλο σας: ο νέος σας σκύλος θα είναι ανησυχημένος και δεν θα εμπιστεύεται τον εαυτό σας, και δεν θα ξέρετε ποιες καταστάσεις θα τον ενοχλήσουν. Αν ο σκύλος σας πανικοβληθεί, τότε το ιμάνι είναι η μόνη πιθανότητα να αποφύγει την διαφυγή του (πολλοί σκύλοι μπορούν να ξεφύγουν από το κράνος και/ή το καράβι). Θα χρειαστούν ΤΟ ΕΛΑΧΙΣΤΟΝ 3-6 μήνες για να εξοικειωθεί ο σκύλος σας και να ξέρετε πλήρως τον σκύλο σας (περισσότερο για τους φοβισμένους σκύλους). Το ιμάνι πρέπει ΠΑΝΤΑ να χρησιμοποιηθεί κατά τη διάρκεια αυτής της περιόδου εξοικείωσης. Pettern is a medium sized crossbreed born June 2022. Pettern was abandoned with his siblings outside the gates of the shelter in Crivatu, Romania. Sadly they grew up in there whilst waiting for their chance to come to the UK to find a new home. Pettern is a sweet, affectionate, playful and loyal boy to his family but is a bit of a wimp when it comes to meeting strangers. He was adopted once as an only dog but really didn’t cope so will need another dog in full time residence in his forever home. He is fine with the safe rescue cat, actually he’s a bit intimidated by him too. Pettern is super loyal and loving, he is good on and off lead. He will need an adult home environment. Adoption Donation Fees From 1st Dec 2025 are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
