He is a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to his people and being involved in everyday family life. Ragnar enjoys being playful and having fun when the mood takes him, but he is equally happy snuggling up on the sofa or soaking up the sunshine. Ragnar enjoys his walks and exploring new places, although he can be reactive to people when out and about, which may result in barking and pulling on the lead. At home, he will often bark when visitors arrive, but he settles quickly. He can occasionally mark indoors, so his new family will need to be understanding of this. Ragnar can be left alone for a couple of hours. He may bark or howl when his family leave and may bark again when they come back, but he settles while they are out and waits patiently for their return. Ragnar resource guards food from other dogs in the home and is therefore fed separately to ensure everyone remains comfortable and relaxed at mealtimes. Ragnar is good with children aged eight years and over, and would be happy in a family home with respectful children who understand how to interact with dogs. Ragnar particularly enjoys the company of other female dogs and would love a home where he can share his life with one or more female canine companions. He is looking for a home with a secure garden of his own where he can enjoy spending time outdoors, relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying the freedom to potter about safely. Ragnar is a devoted and affectionate dog with so much love to give. In the right home, with understanding owners, he will reward his family with endless companionship, loyalty and affection.
