If Santos were a person, he would be the type of older, well-mannered gentleman who served in the military and places great value on respect, integrity, and rules. Santos has always had bad luck in his life, meeting only people who wanted his beauty but never took the time to get to know Santos's character. Santos needs and wants clear rules and clear, tough but benevolent leadership. No messing around, no unclear communication, and above all, no amateurs who don't understand dogs. Santos came from the last place where he was unfortunately allowed to do whatever he wanted, he was allowed on the sofa and could impose his will anywhere. Santos would do anything for his people if he has clear rules and structures he can follow. He approaches strangers very openly and friendly, but once he builds a close relationship with his people, he insists on rules and instructions. Santos has fit well into the shelter routine from the beginning and accepted the rules. He loves his dog walker and is a modest, quiet dog when his world is in order. Santos is very intelligent, understands a lot and wants to do everything right. Nevertheless, he has the potential to become rough if something goes wrong, which is why he really needs experienced, confident people with leadership qualities. Santos can be left alone for several hours, enjoys going in the car, and likes to swim in the summer. With other dogs, it depends on the chemistry; he generally finds female dog good, but with males it depends on the other dog. Santos walks well on a leash, but can develop enormous strength when he has a specific goal. Santos is affectionate, becomes very attached to his people, and now finally needs a home that understands him and can lead him clearly and responsibly. He is looking for a child-free, cat-free home, preferably rural, with people who have dog understanding and feeling, who want to live a quiet and peaceful life with Santos.
