Ο Sherman είναι ένα πολύ νεαρό σκυλάκι 10 μηνών που πιστεύουμε ότι θα φτάσει σε μεσαίο μέγεθος, αλλά τα γονικά του δεν είναι γνωστά. Αρκετά νεαρός για να εκπαιδευτεί για να κάνει τα πράγματα στην κατανομή. Μπορεί να ζήσει με ή χωρίς κατοικιδικό σκύλο. Ζητείται οικογένεια με ενήλικες. Γνωρίσαμε το Sherman κατά την τελευταία μας επίσκεψη στο δημόσιο καταφύγιο Botosani στη Ρουμανία. Είναι ένα από τα λιγότερο αξιόπιστα σκυλάκια, οπότε χρειαζόμαστε έναν υιοθετητή που θα έχει χρόνο και υπομονή για να τον εξοικειωθεί στο νέο του περιβάλλον. Μπορεί να ζήσει με ή χωρίς κατοικιδικό σκύλο και θα χρειαστεί μια οικογένεια με ενήλικες. Θα χρειαστεί όλη την ίδια προσοχή και εκπαίδευση που χρειάζονται όλα τα σκυλάκια και οι υιοθετητές πρέπει να περιμένουν να ούρει, να πάει στην τουαλέτα, να τσακιστεί και πιθανώς να έχουν ανυπνίες μέχρι να γίνει εκπαιδευμένο. Το Sherman φροντίστηκε από το Norwich Norfolk. Αν ενδιαφέρεστε, στείλτε μήνυμα ή καλέστε από 9 π.μ. έως 5 μ.μ. Δευτέρα-Παρασκευή ή 9 π.μ. έως 4 μ.μ. Σάββατο. Χρεώσεις Υιοθεσίας Από 1 Ιανουαρίου 2025 είναι Τα σκυλιά που έχουν ήδη κοπεί και όλα τα ενήλικα σκυλιά: £430. Μη κοπεία σκυλιά που είναι σε συμφωνία για κοπή/αποκοπή: £530 (Θα λάβετε ένα άρθρο ισχύος 100 λιρών όταν στείλετε μας την απόδειξη για την κοπή). Προχωρημένα σκυλιά (10+ χρόνια): £150–£250 (ανάλογα με την ηλικία και τις ιδιαίτερες ανάγκες). Όροι Υιοθεσίας Όταν υιοθετήσετε ένα σκυλί της Safe Rescue, ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να χρησιμοποιήσετε ένα βραχιόλι οδηγού. Αυτό θα διασφαλίσει την ασφάλεια του σκύλου σας: το νέο σας σκυλί θα είναι ευαίσθητο και δεν θα έχει εμπιστοσύνη σας, και δεν ξέρετε ποιες καταστάσεις θα μπορούσαν να ανησυχήσουν το σκυλί σας. Αν το σκυλί σας ανησυχεί, τότε το βραχιόλι οδηγού είναι η μόνη τρόπος να αποτρέψετε το σκυλί από την έξοδο (πολλά σκυλιά μπορούν να ξεφύγουν από το βραχιόλι και/ή τη ζώνη). Θα χρειαστούν ΤΟ ΕΛΑΧΙΣΤΟ 3-6 μήνες για να εξοικειωθεί το σκυλί σας και για να το γνωρίσετε πλήρως (μεγαλύτερο για τα ευαίσθητα σκυλιά). Το βραχιόλι οδηγού πρέπει ΠΑΝΤΑ να χρησιμοποιηθεί κατά την περίοδο εξοικείωσης. Ακόμη και μετά το σκυλί σας να είναι εξοικειωμένο, είναι πιο ασφαλές να χρησιμοποιήσετε το βραχιόλι οδηγού σε περιπτώσεις όπου το σκυλί μπορεί να φοβηθεί (π.χ. επισκέψεις σε νέα μέρη, κοντά σε άγνωστους ανθρώπους, στον κτηνίατρο), και σε περιπτώσεις όπου μπορεί να συμβούν απροσδόκητες εμπειρίες (π.χ. γύρω από τη Νύχτα των Φωτιών). Sherman is a 10 month old pup who we think will grow to be medium sized but parentage is unknown. Young enough to be cat trained. Can live with or without resident dog. Adult family needed We met Sherman in our last trip to Botosani public shelter in Romania. He is one of the less confident pups so we would need an adopter who has time and patience to settle him in his new environment. He could live with or without resident dogs and would need an adult family. He will need all the usual training and care that all pups need and adopters should expect peeing, poohing, chewing and potentially sleepless nights until work is put into training them out of it. Adoption Donation Fees From 1st Dec 2025 are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
