Θελμα είναι ένα μεσαίου μεγέθους σκυλιά που έχει γύρω στα εννιά χρόνια. Δεν έχει ακόμη δοκιμαστεί για κατώτατο. Μπορεί να ζήσει με ή χωρίς άλλα σκυλιά. Απαιτείται οικογένεια ενηλίκων. Η Θελμα έφτασε πρόσφατα από το δημόσιο φιλανθρωπικό ίδρυμα Μποτοσάνι της Ρουμανίας. Την έχουμε δει εκεί για πολλά χρόνια αλλά δεν την είχαμε καταφέρει να αξιολογήσουμε και να τη γνωρίσουμε γιατί το σκυλί με το οποίο ήταν στην κλειστή θέση ήταν τόσο επιθετικό. Τον Μάρτιο, όταν ξαναπήγαμε, αποφάσισα να κάνω την απόφαση και να το θεωρήσω ως κίνδυνο και να την βγάλω έξω και την βρήκα να είναι εκπληκτική... Με δάγκωσε το άλλο σκυλί όταν την έβαλα ξανά στη θέση αλλά τελικά το έκανα τελείως αξιοπρεπές τώρα που είναι εδώ στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Η Θελμα αναπτύσσεται καλά με τα άλλα σκυλιά στο σπίτι φροντίδας της, αλλά μπορεί επίσης να είναι το μόνο σκυλί στο σπίτι για πάντα. Περπατά ευχάριστα με την ίδια και την αγαπά αλλά θα χρειαστεί να αυξήσει την ικανότητά της μετά από τόσα χρόνια ισχυρής κράτησης. Χρειάζεται μια οικογένεια ενηλίκων. Η Θελμα έμεινε στο σπίτι φροντίδας της Νόριτς Νορφόλκ. Αν ενδιαφέρεστε, στείλτε μήνυμα ή καλέστε από 9 π.μ. έως 5 μ.μ. Εργάσιμες ημέρες ή από 9 π.μ. έως 4 μ.μ. Σάββατο. Οι τιμές για την αποκτήση είναι Κουτούκια που έχουν ήδη τεστ αποκοπής και όλα τα ενήλικα σκυλιά: £430. Ακόμη και ανεκτόμενα κουτούκια με συμφωνία για σεξουαλική αποκοπή: £530 (Θα λάβετε μια έκπτωση 100 λιρών όταν στείλετε σε μας την απόδειξη της αποκοπής). Παλιοί σκύλοι (10+ χρόνια): £150-£250 (ανάλογα την ηλικία και τις ιδιαίτερες ανάγκες). Οι όροι και προϋποθέσεις αποκτήσεως Όταν αποκτήσετε ένα σκυλί από την Safe Rescue, θα πρέπει να χρησιμοποιήσετε μια ζώνη παρακολούθησης. Αυτό θα κρατήσει το σκυλί σας ασφαλές: το νέο σας σκυλί θα είναι άγριο και δεν θα έχει εμπιστοσύνη σε σας, και δεν θα γνωρίζετε ποιες καταστάσεις θα προκαλέσουν ανησυχία στο σκυλί σας. Αν το σκυλί σας έρθει σε κατάσταση έκπληξης, τότε η ζώνη παρακολούθησης είναι η μόνη μέθοδος για να προληφθεί το σκυλί να τραβήξει (πολλά σκυλιά μπορούν να τραβήξουν από το φιμάρι και/ή το ζεύγος ζωνών). Θα χρειαστούν ΤΟΥΛΑΧΙΣΤΟΝ 3—6 μήνες για να εισαχθεί το σκυλί σας και για να γνωρίσετε απόλυτα το σκυλί σας (μεγαλύτερο για τα αγχωμένα σκυλιά). Thelma is a medium sized crossbreed aged around nine years old. Not yet cat tested. Can live with or without other dogs. Adult home required. Thelma has joined us recently from the Botosani public shelter in Romania. We have seen her in there for many years but have been unable to assess and get to know her because the dog she was in a pen with is so aggressive. In March when we visited again I decided to bite the bullet and risk it and got her out and found her to be delightful…. I got bitten by the other dog when I put her back in the pen but totally worth it now that she’s here in the UK. Thelma is mixing well with the other dogs in her foster home but could also be the only dog in her forever home. She walks nicely on a lead and enjoys her walks but will need to build up her fitness level after so many years of incarceration. She will need an adult home environment. Adoption Donation Fees are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
