Tilly is a 12-year-old black and white crossbreed weighing approximately 17kg, and Lucy is an 8-year-old black and tan crossbreed weighing around 12kg. These lovely ladies have spent many years together as devoted sisters. Sadly, they recently found themselves needing a new home after their owner passed away. With no family able to care for them, they came into the care of Islay Dog Rescue. Despite the significant changes they have experienced, both girls remain loving, affectionate companions who are looking for a special home where they can stay together as the bonded pair they have always been. Due to their ages and the fact that they have not previously lived with children, to our knowledge, we feel they would be best suited to a home without young children, or with dog-savvy children aged 13 years and over who understand and will respect their boundaries. Tilly and Lucy both walk beautifully on the lead and enjoy getting out and exploring the great outdoors. While they have always lived happily together, they may occasionally give a little bark when they see other dogs. However, they have shown no signs of aggression. It is therefore possible that they could live with a calm, respectful dog who would give them space and not place too many demands on them. Any introductions would need to be carried out carefully. They have not yet been cat tested, but this can be arranged if required.
