Ruby on 10 kuukautta. Ei ole koiratutkittu. Voisi elää yksin tai muiden koiden kanssa. Lapset 7 ja vanhemmat. Ruby on kymmenen kuukauden ikäinen naiskoira Maltese x Yorkie, joka on saapunut hoitoamme neljän aiemman kotirakenteen jälkeen! Kun hän tuli hoitoon, huomasi hoitohenkilö hänen olevan minkä tahansa suolen ongelma – tutkimuksen jälkeen löysimme, että hänellä on synnynnäinen munuaistauti. Hän juo runsaasti ja minkä tahansa suolen usein – kun hän ensin tuli, hän ei ollut kotipyykin käyttäjä, mutta nyt paitsi harvinaisen onnettomuuden hän menee ulos jos ohjataan, mutta hän tarvitsee jonkin olevan osan päivästä kotona. Ruby on munuaisten kuiva ruokaa auttamaan hänen sairauttaan. Ruby on kaunis iloinen pieni tyttö, joka rakastaa leikkimistä leluilla ja muilla koirilla – hän on erittäin läheinen ja nukahtaa ylhäällä hoitohenkilön kanssa ilman onnettomuuksia. Ruby ei ole sosioitu kotona ulkopuolella ja voi haukkuva muuta koiria ei aggressiivisesti, mutta koska hän haluaa tapaavansa niitä – tämä on tehtävä kesken ja vaatii lisää sitoutumista adoptoijalta. Emme tiedä pitkän aikavälin tilannetta Rubylle – meille kerrottiin, että tämä tauti lyhentää hänen elinaikaansa ja me haluamme sen seuraavan muutaman vuoden olevan parhaaksi mahdolliseksi hänelle. Tämä pitää koirasi turvassa: uusi koirasi on pelokas eikä luota sinuun, eikä tiedä mitkä tilanteet voivat herättää hänen pelokkuuttaan. Jos koirasi paniikissa, silloin liukuvaa kourua on ainoa tapa estää sen pakoon (monet koirat voivat pakena kourusta ja/tai hihasta). Se vie Vähintään 3-6 kuukautta ennen kuin koirasi rauhoittuu ja sinut tunnet koirasi täysin (pitempi aika pelokkaille koirille). Liukuvaa kourua on aina käytettävä tässä rauhoittumisvaiheessa. Kun koirasi on rauhoittunut, voit haluta harkita kourun käyttöä (yhdistettynä liukuvaan kouruun), jos koirasi on kunnossa käsiteltäessä sen asennetta. Ruby is 10 months old. Not cat tested. Can live with or without other dogs. Children 7 plus Ruby is a ten month old female Maltese x Yorkie who has come into our care after being passed around four previous homes! When arriving in our care the fosterer realised she had a urine problem – after investigation We found She has congenital kidney disease. She drinks excessively and urinates frequently – when she first came she was not house trained but now apart from the odd accident she will go outside if prompted but she will need someone home a good part of the day . Ruby is on renal dry food to help her illness . Ruby is a lovely happy little girl who loves to play with toys and other dogs – she is very cuddly and sleeps upstairs with her fosterer with no accidents . Ruby has not been socialised out of the home and can bark at other dogs not aggressively but because she wants to meet them – this is a work in progress and needs further commitment of the adopter. We do not know the long term for Ruby – we have been told that this disease will shorten her life and we want her next few years to be the best ever for her. Ruby is fostered in Hingham Norfolk. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
