Aujourd'hui, le contrat de construction pour la première phase de la nouvelle construction de chiens à San Isidro a été signé. Grâce à un legs généreux, le terrain a été acheté en 2013, les plans ont été établis et les fondations construites. Depuis lors, nous avons travaillé activement à économiser chaque centime possible pour réunir suffisamment d'argent pour transformer notre rêve en réalité. Les graves dommages causés aux anciens chenils de Dolores par la gota fría en 2019 ont augmenté l'urgence de livrer les nouveaux chenils et une décision a été prise de construire en deux phases. Le contrat signé aujourd'hui livrera les bâtiments situés sur le côté gauche des plans ci-dessous. Cela fournira les espaces de bureau, la salle vétérinaire, la salle des malades, certaines zones de stockage et assez d'espaces pour chiens pour que nous puissions tous transférer du site actuel à Dolores. Alors que nous célébrons le point important atteint aujourd'hui, le travail ne s'arrête pas ici. Nous devons encore financer la deuxième phase de la construction ainsi que tout le paysage, donc si vous êtes en mesure d'aider, toute donation, quelque petite qu'elle soit, est toujours la bienvenue.

Today the build contract for the first phase of the new kennels build at San Isidro was signed. Thanks to a generous legacy the land was purchased in 2013, the plans made and the foundations constructed. Since then we have been busily saving every cent that we can to gather enough money to turn our dream into reality. The serious damage caused to the existing kennels at Dolores by the gota fría in 2019 increased the urgency around delivering the new kennels and a decision was taken to build in two phases. The contract signed today will deliver the buildings on the left-hand side of the plans shown below. This will provide the office accommodation, vet room, sick room, some storage areas and enough kennel spaces so that we can move everyone from the current site at Dolores. While we celebrate the important milestone reached today, the job does not end here. We still need to fund the second phase build and all the landscaping, so if you are able to help, any donation no matter how small, is always welcome.
