Jack, non guardarci così. Lo sappiamo che qui non ci vuoi stare. Lo sappiamo che sei un bravo cane, che eri abituato a stare in casa, a uscire a passeggio con il tuo umano. Lo sappiamo che aspettavi con ansia il suo rientro dopo il lavoro e che ti piacevano le pennichelle sul divano. Ci dispiace tanto che tutto questo sia svanito e che ora ti trovi qui senza sapere come tornare indietro. Purtroppo, Jack, non puoi: il passato non tornerà.
