Leát az út szélén találták, elveszett és megfélemlített, ide-oda futkározott, fogalma sem volt, kitől várhat segítséget vagy hova bújhatna. Elhagyták minden érzelem nélkül. Nem ismerte a biztonság érzését, a gyengédséget vagy a kedves szavakat. Amikor hozzánk került, még mindig a félelem fagyasztotta meg, körülnézett, mintha ellenőrizné, valóban elmúlt-e a veszély. Aztán lassan kezdett bízni — először óvatosan, majd egyre bátrabban, mintha végre megnyílt volna előtte a világ. Ma Lea nyugodt, gyengéd és hálás — egy kutya, aki csak egy kis teret, egy kis ételt és sokkal kevesebb szeretetet kér, mint amennyit valójában érdemel. A legfontosabb, hogy soha többé ne hagyják el. „Nekem is mondják, hogy a »fekete német juhászkutya«, pedig én egyedi vagyok — és szebb, mint az összes többi juhászkutya!”

Lea was found abandoned by the roadside, lost and terrified, running back and forth with no idea whom to approach or where to hide. She had been left behind without a shred of remorse. She didn’t know what safety felt like, or gentleness, or a kind word. When she arrived to us, still frozen with fear, she looked around as if checking whether the danger had truly passed. And then, slowly, she began to trust — first cautiously, then with growing courage, as if the world had finally opened up for her. Today, Lea is calm, tender, and grateful — a dog who asks for just a little space, a little food, and far less love than she actually deserves. The most important thing is that she is never abandoned again. “They also call me the ‘black German shepherd,’ even though I’m one of a kind — and prettier than all the shepherds out there! ”
