12 évig volt a ketrecében és hatalmas daganat nőtt rajta. Amikor úgy döntöttünk, hogy örökbe fogadjuk, műtétet hajtottak végre rajta. Sajnos (de nem meglepő módon) a beavatkozás sikertelen volt, így vissza kellett varrni a daganattal együtt. Nem tudjuk, miért választották ezt az időpontot, amikor már 14 éves volt. A lényeg azonban az, hogy jól van és boldog. Úgy viselkedik, mint egy kölyökkutya és nagyon izgatott. Lumpy néhány napon belül befejezi az antibiotikum-kúrát, majd folytatjuk a fokozatos mozgásprogramját és a finca csapatába való integrálását, amíg végül szabadon élvezheti a napjait a többi idős kutyával, Maccal és Lioval.

He had been inside his cage for 12 years and during his time grew a huge mass. Once we decided to adopt him they operated on it. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly) the operation was unsuccessful and he had to be sewn back up with his mass. We were unsure why they chose to do it now at his age of 14. However the important point is that he is recovering and happy. That he is, he acts like a puppy and is very excited. Lumpy will finish his cause of antibiotics over the next couple of days and we will continue to increase their exercise and integration to the finca pack until hopefully they can be free to enjoy their days with the volunteers and the other oldies Mac and Lio.
