Agathe is a sensitive, endearing dog with great potential. She already knows the “sit” command and, once she feels confident, she’s eager to learn and share wonderful moments with her family. Life at the shelter is tough for her. She struggles with loneliness, and stress sometimes causes her to bark softly when she finds herself alone. Outdoors, she can also become panicked and grab onto the leash. At such times, the person accompanying her must remain firm yet patient, without getting upset, in order to calm her down. With other dogs, Agathe can be playful, but she still lacks clear guidelines. If she doesn’t understand another dog’s intentions, she can quickly become defensive. When stressed, she’ll also protect her toys and treats. What Agathe needs most of all is a stable, caring, and patient home—one that gives her plenty of time to blossom at her own pace. She could live with another dog, but only a calm, stable, well-socialized, and self-assured male who can serve as a true point of reference for her. On the other hand, she wouldn’t be suitable as the family’s first dog. Agathe is a dog who deserves a chance. With the right people by her side, she’ll be able to reveal all the sweetness that lies dormant within her.

Agathe est une chienne sensible, attachante et pleine de potentiel. Elle connaît déjà le « assis » et, une fois en confiance, elle ne demande qu'à apprendre et à partager de beaux moments avec sa famille. La vie au refuge est difficile pour elle. Elle supporte mal la solitude et le stress la pousse parfois à hurler un peu lorsqu'elle se retrouve seule. À l'extérieur, elle peut également paniquer et attraper la laisse. A ce moment-là, la personne qui l’accompagne doit être ferme et insister, sans toutefois s’énerver, ceci afin de la calmer. Avec les autres chiens, Agathe peut être joueuse, mais elle manque encore de repères. Si elle ne comprend pas les intentions d'un congénère, elle peut rapidement se mettre sur la défensive. Lorsqu'elle est stressée, elle protège aussi ses jouets et ses friandises. Ce dont Agathe a besoin, c'est avant tout d'un foyer stable, bienveillant et patient, qui lui laissera le temps de s'épanouir à son rythme. Elle pourra vivre avec un autre chien, mais uniquement un mâle, calme, stable, bien codé et sûr de lui, qui pourra devenir un véritable repère pour elle. En revanche, elle ne conviendra pas comme premier chien du foyer. Agathe est une chienne qui mérite qu'on lui laisse sa chance. Avec les bonnes personnes à ses côtés, elle pourra révéler toute la douceur qui sommeille en elle.
