Boguś, or rather Bogumił, is a dog who has experienced a lot in his life. He was taken, along with several other dogs, after the death of his owner. The whole group came to us in a very bad state - neglected and terrified. Each of them carries a huge baggage of difficult experiences, and Bogumił is no exception. This is a very distrustful dog towards humans. Contact with him causes him a lot of fear, so instead of approaching and trusting - he runs away, growls and tries to scare off. Unfortunately, in situations that are particularly difficult for him, he can try to defend himself by biting. This is not due to ill will, but rather a desperate desire to keep safe in a world he still fears. Currently, Bogumił is not yet able to work with a person. Touch or an attempt at closer contact are too big a challenge for him. However, it is clear that it is not aggression, but a deeply rooted fear that makes him react like this. His heart beats faster at the mere thought of approaching - not because he wants to hurt, but because he never learned to trust people. The only ray of hope for him is other dogs. In their company, he feels more confident, they give him courage and show him that the world is not always a threat. Thanks to them, he has a chance to slowly learn that closeness does not have to mean danger. Bogumił's journey to opening up to humans will be long and difficult, but we are not going to give up. We will work with him, step by step, until he understands that a human can be a support, not a reason for fear. Bogumił needs a special home - full of patience, understanding and calm. A caregiver who accepts his difficult past and gives him as much time as he needs.

Boguś, a właściwie Bogumił, to piesek, który przeszedł w życiu naprawdę wiele. Został odebrany razem z kilkoma innymi psami po śmierci swojego opiekuna. Cała grupa trafiła do nas w bardzo złym stanie –zaniedbane i przerażone. Każdy z nich nosi w sobie ogromny bagaż trudnych doświadczeń, a Bogumił nie jest wyjątkiem.To piesek bardzo nieufny wobec człowieka. Kontakt z nim wywołuje w nim ogromny lęk, dlatego zamiast podejść i zaufać – ucieka, warczy i stara się odstraszyć. Niestety, w sytuacjach dla niego szczególnie trudnych potrafi próbować bronić się także poprzez ugryzienie. Nie wynika to ze złej woli, a raczej z desperackiej chęci zachowania bezpieczeństwa w świecie, którego wciąż się boi.Obecnie Bogumił nie potrafi jeszcze współpracować z człowiekiem. Dotyk czy próba bliższego kontaktu są dla niego zbyt dużym wyzwaniem. Widać jednak, że to nie agresja, a głęboko zakorzeniony strach sprawiają, że tak reaguje. Jego serce bije szybciej na samą myśl o zbliżeniu – nie dlatego, że chce skrzywdzić, lecz dlatego, że nigdy nie nauczył się ufać ludziom.Jedynym promykiem nadziei są dla niego inne psy. W ich towarzystwie czuje się pewniej, to one dodają mu odwagi i pokazują, że świat nie zawsze jest zagrożeniem. Dzięki nim ma szansę powoli uczyć się, że bliskość nie musi oznaczać niebezpieczeństwa.Droga Bogumiła do otwarcia się na człowieka będzie długa i trudna, ale nie zamierzamy się poddać. Będziemy z nim pracować, krok po kroku, aż zrozumie, że człowiek może być oparciem, a nie powodem do strachu.Bogumił potrzebuje wyjątkowego domu – pełnego cierpliwości, wyrozumiałości i spokoju. Opiekuna, który zaakceptuje jego trudną przeszłość i da mu tyle czasu, ile będzie potrzebował.
