Gender: male Birthday: 2018 Castrated/ Neutered: yes Weight: 23kg Back story: Brian was abandoned with his sister Ivy. Both were tied to the fence next to the shelter in January 2020. Description/Updates/Pictures: Update July 2025: This little piggy went to the market, This little piggy stayed home, This little piggy is our Brian, Give him some mud and he’s, well, he’s happy, can’t you see! Brian has been with us for years. He had gone to a home at some point in his stay but then he was returned because of his hunting instinct, also his strength was overbearing. He attacked a sheep and it was game over for him and a sign to his owners that this was not something they could handle. He is lovely with people, a regular snuggle bunny. And he is a happy guy. Always looking to please. Brian would need a home with experienced bully parent(s). The years are passing and we are afraid he is sentenced to live the rest of his life in the shelter. We do all we can to make his life with us as close to a home, but this is truly not possible. Consider him. He was probably taught wrong in his previous life and now he is paying the price. But he does not deserve this. Just look at that expression on his face. Update December 2024: Just look at that little seal face. Brian is smart, beautiful, goofy and loving. Brian loves playing tug-of-war with Ivy. He is also highly food motivated. Update December 2022: Just look at those faces, Madita and Brian. They are overflowing with joy. Brian is a beautiful bully who had been rehomed at one point but was returned because of his strength and his prey drive (he broke out of his yard and attacked sheep).Brian is not aggressive towards humans, on the contrary, he melts in their hands. Brian is now 4+ years of age and needs to go to an experienced bully handler. City living would be best for him. Brian with visitors. Update September 2022: “My sister Ivy said that there are people who don’t love me cause I’m a certain breed. That can’t be so cause people are good and fun and nice and cute and make me happy” -the big love of Elizabeth’s life, Brian, male, castrated, healthy, staffy, 2 years old” January 2020: This morning these two staffies were left tied up to our neighbor’s fence. Dirty and neglected, these animals cannot tell us their past but it doesn’t seem like a good one.
