Peso approssimativo 18/02/26: 23 kg Peso approssimativo 05/05/26: 21 kg

Bruce Almighty – the dog who just wants to belong Bruce isn’t a finished story. He’s still very much in the middle of one. He’s nearly 4 years old, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier type (PPP in Spain), with a face full of expression and a slightly mismatched body — strong head and chest, but a lighter, slightly weaker back end, like he was built from two different plans. It makes him look a bit awkward at times… and completely unforgettable. He also has the most adorable goofball expression — the kind of face that makes you smile before he’s even done anything. There’s something instantly endearing about him, like he’s always half in a comedy and half just trying his best. And he absolutely has character. Bruce walks with a swagger, full of personality, like he knows exactly who he is. Everyone recognises him on walks — people call out “hi Bruce!” as he goes past, because he leaves an impression wherever he goes. Right now, though, kennel life is hard for him Being locked in a cage, the constant noise, the pressure building day after day — it doesn’t suit him at all. You can see he’s trying to cope, but it’s a lot for him to hold inside. On walks, he comes alive The second he knows it’s his turn, he’s ready. Eager, focused, checking in constantly with his walker as if he’s saying “are you still with me?” And there’s something very sweet and very honest about him too: If he sees another dog getting attention — a cuddle, a moment of closeness — he really feels it. He won’t just ignore it. He will immediately turn to his walker, stand up on his back legs, and wrap his paws around you for a hug Not politely — urgently. Like he is trying to step into that moment of connection himself, because he feels it so strongly. And when he does get that cuddle after jumping up… his whole body melts into it. His body starts to wiggle in pure delight, and his face changes completely — soft, happy, genuinely beaming It’s like you can physically see how much that moment means to him. It’s not bad behaviour. It’s emotion. It’s a dog who feels everything quite deeply, and sometimes struggles to manage that feeling in the moment. And this is the part we need to be completely honest about. In the kennel environment, where pressure builds and stimulation is constant, Bruce can sometimes react when he becomes overwhelmed This can include using his mouth in quick, reactive moments, usually very early in a walk or interaction when he is still settling and hasn’t fully come down from kennel stress. It’s important to understand this in context: it is very much linked to kennel pressure and overstimulation, rather than a stable or constant behaviour. In a calm home environment, with routine, predictability, and reduced stress, this is something we would expect to reduce significantly, and potentially disappear. However, it is still something a future adopter must be aware of, especially in the early stages or if he ever becomes overwhelmed. But there is another side to him too. Because when Bruce feels safe, he is affectionate, loyal, and deeply people-focused He bonds hard. He stays close. He watches you like you matter — because you do, to him. He is not a polished, easy dog. He is not for a first-time owner. And he is not coping well in a kennel environment where everything builds and nowhere releases it Bruce doesn’t need saving in a dramatic sense. He needs space to breathe… and someone who understands that pressure doesn’t always look like panic — sometimes it looks like a dog who is trying very hard to hold himself together. The right person for Bruce won’t be someone looking for easy. It will be someone who looks at him and thinks: “I understand you. And I can handle this properly.” Because when that happens, Bruce won’t just be a dog you walk. He’ll be the one who chooses you — completely, and without hesitation.
