Patterdale cross, Maschio, 12 anni 4 mesi. Purtroppo Chompie è con noi da diversi anni ormai. È un uomo complicato che necessita di un padrone esperto con una routine. È molto particolare riguardo ad avere un certo ordine nel suo giorno e può diventare molto stressato se la sua routine cambia. La sua cosa preferita è sedersi nell'erba al sole a guardare il mondo passare con una palla da tennis in bocca. Dalla prova in precedenza in casa sua, Chompie probabilmente sarebbe più felice con qualcuno che è presente la maggior parte del tempo, forse qualcuno che gli permette di dormire nella sua stanza durante la notte. Chompie cammina con un guinzaglio come se fosse in catena e quando uno dei suoi trigger dello stress si attiva, lo esprime sul guinzaglio. Ha masticato diversi guinzagli quando è arrivato. Abbiamo provato uno a catena dopo questo, ma lui continuò fino a preoccuparci per la possibilità che si rompesse i denti. Una volta che è comodo con te, è il lupo più morbido, ama sedersi sulle tue gambe o accoccolarsi al tuo fianco per grandi abbracci. Mentre si forma un legame con le persone, è noto che cerchi di spostare i limiti e questo di solito comporta che cerchi di afferrare abiti ampi. Risponde bene al "no" quando entra in questi umori. La sua casa ideale sarebbe come unico animale domestico e avere un giardino sicuro per goderselo senza cani vicini in un ambiente adulto e tranquillo. Patterdale cross , Male , 12 years 5 months old Sadly Chompie has been with us for quite a few years now. He is a complicated man who needs an experienced owner with a routine. He is very particular about having some kind of order with his day and can get quite distressed if his routine changes. His absolute favourite thing is sitting in the grass in the sunshine and watching the world go by with a tennis ball in his mouth. From a previous home trial Chompie had, he would probably be happiest with someone who is around most of the time, maybe who will let him sleep in their room overnight too. Chompie walks with a muzzle on as if he is on the lead and one of his stress triggers goes off, he takes it out on his lead. He chewed through multiple leads when he first arrived. We tried a chain one after this but he still continued to the point we were concerned about him breaking his teeth. Once he is comfortable with you, he is the biggest soft lump, he loves to sit on your lap or nuzzle in to your side for big cuddles. While forming bonds with people he has been known to try and push boundaries and this usually involves him trying to grab hold of baggy clothing. He does respond to being firmly told no when he gets in to one of these moods, though. His ideal home would be as the only pet and have a secure garden to enjoy with no neighbouring dogs in an adult-only, quiet household. He hopes someone will give him the chance he deserves.
