I can also imagine a foster home for Cleonice if she doesn’t find a permanent home. As long as the old lady can still enjoy what she has been without for so long. Sie kennen den Satz des Kleinen Prinzen: „nur mit dem Herzen sieht man gut“ . Dies kam mir als erstes in den Sinn, als ich Cleonice im Oktober das erste Mal in ihrem Gehege in der L.I.D.A. besucht habe. Eine alte Katze, ohne Ohren, sie hatte Krebs, wie lange hat sie noch…. und Cleonice drückte mir ihr Köpfchen in die Hand, begann zu schnurren, als würde es um ihr Leben gehen. Mein Herz schmolz dahin. Es hat ein paar Monate gedauert, bis ich die Tierärztin in der L.I.D.A. davon überzeugen konnte, der alten Katzendame noch eine Chance auf ein, vielleicht auch kurzes, glückliches Leben zu schenken. Cleonice ist seit zwei Jahren in der L.I.D.A. und hat noch diese Sehnsucht, sich nicht aufgegeben – und sie ist seit zwei Jahren symptomfrei. Ob sie jemand sehen wird? Es geht hier nicht um Schönheit, sondern um die innere Anmut, die diese Katzenseniorin ausstrahlt. Cleonice s ehnt sich nur nach einem warmen Körbchen, in Wohnungshaltung mit Balkon, vielleicht einer weiteren Katzenseniorin oder -senior. Sie darf aber auch allein gehalten werden, wenn ihre Dosis viel Zeit für sie haben . Sie möchte einfach nur dabei sein. Altersgemäß schläft sie natürlich viel, und sie hat auch nicht mehr alle Zähne. Mit geschätzten vierzehn Jahren ist dies keine Überraschung. Ich kann mir auch eine Pflegestelle für Cleonice vorstellen, falls sie kein festes Zuhause mehr findet. Hauptsache, die alte Dame darf noch ein wenig genießen, was sie so lange entbehren musste. Liebe, Wärme, Sicherheit und einen Napf ganz für sie alleine. Sehen Sie auch in Cleonices Herz?
