Lovely Desmond may be an older gentleman, but he certainly hasn't slowed down! He still has lots of energy and would love an active family to share plenty of adventures with. He adores his walks, especially exploring woodland where he can enjoy a good sniff, and he absolutely loves his toys. A tennis ball is his favourite, and he's just as happy entertaining himself as he is enjoying a game of fetch with his people. He's also very food motivated, enjoys learning new things, and already knows "sit" and "down". While Desmond can be worried by larger dogs, he has happily walked alongside dogs of a similar size and generally prefers to keep to himself rather than interact. His ideal home will continue to build his confidence while giving him lots of opportunities to enjoy the things he loves most. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who still has plenty of zest for life, Desmond could be the perfect match. Desmond is an 11-year-old Collie looking for an adult-only home where he can enjoy his retirement years. He would like to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention for himself. We have no history of him living with cats, small furries or livestock. Desmond is housetrained, travels well in the car and generally walks nicely on lead, although he can pull at times when he's feeling enthusiastic. Desmond can be a little worried when meeting new people, but with a little patience and a gentle approach, he soon comes out of his shell. Once he knows you, he is a wonderfully friendly and affectionate boy who enjoys spending time with his favourite people.
