Didi arrived at the shelter underweight, with dirty fur and a serious eye problem. Her left eye was atrophied and both eyes had dark brown discharge. A veterinary examination revealed that the left eye was irreversibly damaged - the iris was irregular in appearance and the shape and borders of the pupil could not be assessed. In addition, she was missing two teeth and two mobile teeth had to be removed. Didi received antibiotics, painkillers and eye drops, but surgery to remove the left eye was necessary for her recovery. The surgery was performed at a veterinary clinic and cost 199.48 euros. Currently, Didi is recovering well and receiving postoperative pain relief and is still under veterinary observation. Didi jõudis varjupaika alakaalulisena, määrdunud karvastikuga ning tõsise silmaprobleemiga. Tema vasak silm oli atrofeerunud ja mõlemast silmast tuli tumepruuni nõret. Veterinaarsel ülevaatusel selgus, et vasak silm oli pöördumatult kahjustunud – vikerkest oli ebakorrapärase välimusega ning pupilli kuju ja piire ei olnud võimalik hinnata.
