Eline is a black-and-white ex-mother cat who is almost 4 years old. She has been living together with Misty in a foster family since the beginning of 2025. Eline came in wild. She gets along with other cats, as long as they are not too dominant, they are actually pretty okay. People, on the other hand, are a different story for her. If you don't know Eline and she doesn't know you, she can be quite intimidating. But the other way around is just as true for her. She can blow and make angry movements towards you, but where she used to think she had wings and would rather fly away to escape, Eline is now learning to better define her boundaries. She still seems angry when you get too close, but once you look past that, you see the sweet, trembling Eline from head to toe, sitting there looking incredibly cute. What is also very brave of her is that, despite her fear and a small bladder issue, she now lets you come closer to her and even sniffs your finger. She even winks at you. She stays alert and sometimes retreats by hiding, but she recovers faster from her moments of fright and can relax sooner. Her steps are small, but they are definitely visible. What I also see in Eline is that she is incredibly loving and caring. Especially towards Misty, who in turn is just as loving towards Eline. From her previous foster family, it is also known that she was so incredibly caring towards her kittens! Eline now also dares to play when you are in the same room, and then she is wonderfully crazy. Especially with her small scratching post, she can keep herself entertained for a long time; she curls herself around it. She can also be a bit mischievous and look challenging at you while doing something she shouldn't, like scratching the couch. Fortunately, she is easy to distract. Eline still doesn't dare to play with people. With Misty by her side, whom she has known since the beginning, she keeps discovering more. Together, they have built a real bond. They even have their own way of communicating. When the two girls see each other coming, they both make a cheerful "prrr" sound, approach each other, give each other head butts, intertwine their tails as if they were hooking them together, and then walk side by side. The funny thing about it is that they didn't really see each other as sitting well at the beginning, while you would never think that now. They get a lot of support from each other, and now that Misty is further along in her socialization, it is hoped that Eline will increasingly see that people are not as scary as she thought. Eline still needs to learn more to stand up for herself towards Misty. Despite their good bond, Misty has become a bit more dominant towards Eline recently. Since Eline doesn't always dare everything, she lets a lot of things happen. Not entirely naturally, but the spark in her can sometimes come out more when it is needed. Eline doesn't have to be the first to rush forward and let a lot of things happen. The only thing where she likes to be at the front recently is her special wet food. The lady is incredibly picky, but if she really likes something, she dares to walk past all the other cats to take a bite first. Although she still doesn't really dare to eat where the others are. Probably all the stimuli play a role in that. She prefers to eat in a quieter and more protected spot. Eline needs mainly peace, regularity, and patience. Someone who can lead her at her own pace and, as previously mentioned, respects her boundaries and especially someone who sees how much fun she already is, even though she might never be a real snuggly cat. (But who knows)! Eline is only placed together with Misty. They have now become a real team. It is important, however, that there is a click between both ladies during the introduction! Eline has both vaccinations, is spayed, and is microchipped. Her birthdate is estimated to be around 1-10-2022.

Eline is een zwart-witte ex-moederpoes van bijna 4 jaar oud. Zij zit sinds begin 2025 samen met Misty hier in het gastgezin. Eline kwam verwilderd binnen. Andere katten vindt ze, mits ze niet te dominant zijn, eigenlijk best oké. Mensen zijn voor haar een heel ander verhaal. Als je Eline niet kent en zij jou niet, kan ze best spannend overkomen. Andersom is dat voor haar net zo goed zo. Ze kan blazen en boze bewegingen naar je maken, maar waar ze eerst dacht dat ze vleugels had en het liefst langs je op wegvloog om te ontsnappen, leert Eline nu steeds beter haar grenzen aan te geven. Ze lijkt nog steeds boos als je te dichtbij komt, maar als je daar eenmaal doorheen kijkt, zie je dat lieve Eline van top tot teen staat te trillen en nu ontzettend knap blijft zitten. Wat ook heel dapper van haar is, is (als ze je eenmaal een beetje kent en je haar grenzen respecteert) dat ze ondanks haar angst en ondanks een klein blaasje, ze je inmiddels wel dichterbij laat komen en zelfs aan je vinger durft te snuffelen. Ook knipoogt ze zelfs naar je. Ze blijft altijd wel wat alert en soms trekt ze zich ook terug door te verstoppen, maar ze herstelt tegenwoordig sneller van schrikmomentjes en kan ook eerder weer ontspannen. Haar stapjes zijn klein, maar zeker wel zichtbaar. Wat ik ook van Eline zie, is dat ze ontzettend lief en zorgzaam is. Vooral naar Misty toe, die op haar beurt weer net zo lief voor Eline is. Vanuit haar vorige gastgezin is er ook bekend dat ze ook zo enorm zorgzaam was naar haar kittens toe! Eline durft tegenwoordig ook te spelen als je in dezelfde kamer bent en dan is ze heerlijk gek. Vooral met haar kleine krabpaal kan ze zich lang vermaken; ze krult zich er helemaal omheen. Ook kan ze best ondeugend zijn en je dan uitdagend aankijken terwijl ze iets doet wat eigenlijk niet mag, zoals aan de bank krabben. Gelukkig is ze daarin makkelijk af te leiden. Met mensen spelen durft Eline nog niet. Met Misty aan haar zijde, die ze vanaf het begin kent, durft ze wel steeds meer te ontdekken. Samen hebben ze echt een band opgebouwd. Ze hebben zelfs hun eigen manier van communiceren. Als de twee meiden elkaar zien aankomen, maken ze allebei een vrolijk “prrr”-geluidje, lopen ze op elkaar af, geven ze kopjes, haken hun staarten als het ware in elkaar en lopen ze daarna zij aan zij verder. Het grappige hieraan is dat ze elkaar in het begin eigenlijk helemaal niet zo zagen zitten, terwijl je dat nu absoluut niet meer zou denken. Ze halen veel steun uit elkaar en nu Misty wat verder is in haar socialisatie, wordt gehoopt dat Eline steeds meer gaat inzien dat mensen eigenlijk helemaal niet zo eng zijn. Wel mag Eline nog wat meer leren om voor zichzelf op te komen tegenover Misty. Ondanks hun goede band is Misty de laatste tijd wat dominanter geworden richting Eline. Omdat Eline nog niet altijd alles durft, laat ze veel toe. Niet heel erg natuurlijk, maar die pit die in haar zit, mag soms best wat meer naar buiten komen wanneer dat nodig is. Eline hoeft nooit per se haantje de voorste te zijn en laat daardoor veel gebeuren. Het enige waarbij ze de laatste tijd wél graag vooraan staat, is haar speciale natvoer. Mevrouw is ontzettend kieskeurig, maar als ze iets écht lekker vindt, durft ze ineens langs alle andere katten heen te lopen om als eerste een hapje te nemen. Hoewel ze eigenlijk nog niet goed durft te eten waar de anderen bij zijn. Waarschijnlijk spelen alle prikkels daar ook in mee. Ze eet liever op een wat rustiger en beschut plekje. Eline heeft vooral rust, regelmaat en geduld nodig. Iemand die haar op haar eigen tempo over de streep weet te trekken en zoals eerder al gezegd is, haar grenzen respecteert en vooral iemand die inziet hoe leuk ze nu al is, ondanks dat ze misschien wel nooit een echt knuffelkatje zal worden. (Maar wie weet)! Eline wordt uitsluitend samen met Misty geplaatst. Ze zijn inmiddels een echt team geworden. Wel is het belangrijk dat er bij een kennismaking een klik is met beide dames! Eline heeft beide vaccinaties gehad, is gesteriliseerd en is gechipt. Haar geboortedatum is geschat op 1-10-2022.
