Fizz è un incrocio di piccole dimensioni con circa un anno di età. Abbiamo conosciuto Fizz durante il nostro recente viaggio al rifugio pubblico di Botosani in Romania. Era nella gabbia 104 con tre altri cani che erano molto amichevoli e bravi nel farci notare. È davvero grazie a loro che l'abbiamo notata, poiché non è una che si mette in mostra in mezzo a 800 cani. Fizz è una bambina carina ma timida che vuole comportarsi come un adolescente, ma fino ad ora la vita le ha tolto la gioia del gioco. È in Inghilterra da alcune settimane e ieri ha sorpreso sia noi che lei stessa quando ha preso una palla. Non sapeva cosa farne, quindi l'ha fiera circondata dai suoi fratelli in famiglia protettiva. Sta imparando a rilassarsi e a godersi la vita, ma ancora ci vuole molto per essere completamente spensierata come dovrebbe essere. Avrà bisogno di almeno un altro cane come residente a tempo pieno nella sua casa definitiva. Ha imparato a camminare al guinzaglio ma avrà bisogno di continuare a guadagnare esperienza nella sua casa definitiva. È così difficile per loro quando ogni cosa intorno a loro è nuova e ogni esperienza è un "primo", ma questa piccola gemma è così pronta a superare le sue paure e ha solo bisogno di un posto dove continuare a farlo. Può vivere con bambini di età dieci anni o più e sembra indifferente al gatto. Fizz è in famiglia protettiva a North Walsham Norfolk. Se sei interessato, invia un messaggio o chiama tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 dal lunedì al venerdì o tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 il sabato. Tariffe per l'adozione Dal 1° dicembre 2025, i cuccioli già castrati e tutti i cani adulti: £430. Cuccioli non castrati con contratti di castrazione: £530 (riceverai un rimborso di £100 una volta che ci invierai la prova della castrazione). Cani anziani (oltre 10 anni): £150–£250 (in base all'età e alle esigenze individuali). Politica di adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI usare un guinzaglio a scorrimento. Questo terrà sicuro il tuo cane: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti fiderebbe, e non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero turbare il tuo cane. Se il tuo cane si spaventa, allora il guinzaglio a scorrimento è l'unica via per evitare che scappi (molti cani possono scappare da collare e/o cingia). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi perché il tuo cane si abitui e tu lo conosca pienamente (più a lungo per i cani nervosi). Il guinzaglio a scorrimento deve SEMPRE essere utilizzato durante questo periodo di adattamento. Anche dopo che il tuo cane si è abituato, è più sicuro usare il guinzaglio a scorrimento in situazioni in cui il tuo cane potrebbe spaventarsi (ad esempio visitare luoghi nuovi, attorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni in cui potrebbero verificarsi trigger inaspettati (ad esempio durante la notte del fuoco d'artificio). I cani nervosi potrebbero sempre dover indossare un guinzaglio a scorrimento come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scorrimento è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai deve essere utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Usare il guinzaglio per applicare pressione sul collo del cane è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira il guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarti metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il tuo cane si è abituato, potresti voler considerare l'uso di una cingia (insieme al guinzaglio a scorrimento) se il cane è comodo con il contatto quando è fissata. La maggior parte delle cingie non sono antifuga, ma quelle con una cingia dietro le costole (es. Ruffwear Webmaster o Perfect Fit Harnesses) sono più sicure. I guinzagli retrattili / estensibili non devono mai essere utilizzati sui nostri cani. I cani adottati devono essere ritirati dal rifugio e trasportati direttamente a casa in una gabbia. Fizz is a smallish crossbreed aged around one year old. We met Fizz on our recent trip to the Botosani public shelter in Romania. She was in pen 104 with three other dogs that were very friendly and good at drawing our attention. It’s really thanks to them that we noticed her as she is not one to push herself forward in a crowd of 800 dogs. Fizz is a cute but shy little girl who wants to behave like the adolescent she is but until now life had knocked the play out of her. She has been in the UK for a few weeks now and yesterday surprised both us and herself when she picked up a ball. She had no idea what to do with it so just paraded it proudly around her foster siblings. She is learning to relax and enjoy life but still has a way to go to be completely carefree as she should be. She will need at least one other dog as full time resident in her forever home. She has learnt how to walk on a lead but will need to continue to gain experience in her forever home. It’s so hard for them when everything around them is new and every experience is a “first”, but this little jewel is so ready to break through her fears niw and just needs somewhere to continue to do so. She can live with children aged ten plus and seems unphased by the cat. Fizz fostered North Walsham Norfolk. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Policy When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.
