Bellissimo ragazzo Goose sta cercando la sua casa per sempre, amorevole. Goose è un whippet molto dolce, affettuoso e gentile. È anche abbastanza timido, ansioso e soffre di ansia da separazione, quindi si adatterebbe meglio in una casa tranquilla e prevedibile dove qualcuno è presente per la maggior parte del tempo almeno fino a quando non diventa più sicuro. Adora i coccoloni, l'attenzione e stare con i suoi umani il più possibile, probabilmente a causa di tanti cambiamenti nella sua vita. Può essere molto lamentoso e piangere se non può seguirti in una stanza. Non è sicuro quando viene lasciato solo, quasi mai. Si agita e piange quando nota che qualcuno è pronto a uscire o esce, anche se non viene lasciato solo. Quando è solo, piange/ulula quando lo nota e ci mette un po' per calmarsi. A parte questo, è rilassato a casa dopo le passeggiate, ama giocare con i suoi giochi e di solito dorme sul divano o nella sua gabbia (aperta). È molto coccolone di sera, dormendo su un grembo comodo o sul suo copriletto elettrico. Di notte, dorme felicemente nel soggiorno con la porta chiusa e è calmo. Fuori, è calmo e facile da gestire durante le passeggiate, non tira la guinzaglio e gode di annusare molto. Adora essere senza guinzaglio nel giardino per giocare con una palla o un gioco di tiro e ha degli scatti di energia ma non ha un richiamo affidabile, quindi l'uso di un guinzaglio lungo è essenziale per la sua sicurezza. Un grande giardino recintato sarebbe ideale per Goose. Durante le passeggiate non reagisce agli altri cani, ma a volte si eccita quando vede alcuni cani più piccoli. Saluta gli altri cani calmi in modo cortese. Notabilmente, altri cani reattivi / eccitabili tendono a diventare aggressivi intorno a lui e a prendersela con lui, poiché lui può essere molto ansioso intorno a loro. È un cane intelligente e risponde bene all'addestramento, avendo imparato seduto / sdraiato / fermo, anche se non è sempre motivato dal cibo, quindi le ricompense di alto valore sono fondamentali. A causa del suo atteggiamento nervoso pensiamo che una casa senza bambini sia la migliore per lui. Sarà necessario un addestramento costante sul richiamo all'esterno e sull'addestramento alla gabbia, così come sulla sua ansia da separazione, ma in generale è un cane meraviglioso che ripagherà il tuo tempo e i tuoi sforzi con amore e coccole. Beautiful boy Goose is looking for his forever, loving home. Goose is a very loving, affectionate and gentle whippet. He is also quite timid, nervous and has separation anxiety so would thrive best in a quiet, predictable home where someone is around for most of the time at least until he is more confident. He loves cuddles, attention and to be with his humans as much as possible, most likely due to being through a lot of changes in his life. He can be very whiny and cry if he cannot follow you into a room. He is also not confident when being left alone, almost at all. He gets anxious and cries when he notices someone is getting ready to go outside or leaves, even if he is not being left alone. When he is left alone, he will cry/howl when he notices and it takes him a while to settle down. Other than that, he is relaxed at home after his walks, loves playing with his toys and usually sleeps on the sofa or in his crate (open). He is very cuddly in the evenings, sleeping on a cosy lap or on his electric blanket. Overnight, he sleeps happily in the living room with the door shut and is calm. Outside, he is calm and easy-going on his walks, not pulling on the lead and enjoys sniffing lots. He loves being off the lead in the garden to play with a ball or tug and will get zoomies but does not have reliable recall, so the use of a long lead is essential to be safe. A large enclosed garden for Goose would be ideal. On walks he is not reactive to other dogs, but can get excited sometimes when he sees some smaller dogs. He greets other calm dogs nicely. Notably, other reactive / excitable dogs tend to quickly turn aggressive around him and bully him, as he can be very anxious around them. He is a clever dog and responds well to training, having learned sit / lie down / stay, although he is not always food motivated, so high value treats are key. Due to his nervous demeanour we think an adult only home would be best suited. Ongoing training on his recall outside and crate training will be required as well as his separation anxiety but overall he is a wonderful dog that will reward your time and effort back with love and cuddles.
