I veterinari non sono riusciti a sopprimere un cane perfettamente sano, quindi hanno ottenuto il permesso dai proprietari per salvarlo. Fortunatamente, Gunner ha avuto una seconda possibilità e in meno di 24 ore si è trovato a Freshfields pronto a trovare la sua casa per sempre. Purtroppo, a causa del modo in cui Gunner è finito nel nostro ospizio, abbiamo una storia limitata sul suo comportamento in casa. Dopo gli assessment comportamentali e trascorrendo del tempo con questo meraviglioso cane, abbiamo imparato molto su di lui: – Gunner è addestrato in casa e non fa sporco nella sua stanza quando rimane da solo durante la notte. – Gunner è un gigante gentile; non ha mai mostrato aggressività o nervosismo verso le persone. – Ama il cibo e non ha allergie o intolleranze note. – Al momento è un po' incerto con altri cani e può diventare un po' agitato. Con ulteriore esposizione e addestramento, questa situazione migliorerà certamente e è qualcosa che il team dei canili sta lavorando. Gunner cammina bene al guinzaglio tuttavia, essendo sopra i 34 kg, avrà bisogno di qualcuno con la forza per gestirlo e potrebbe essere adatto solo in una famiglia con bambini più grandi. Gunner è un cane molto energico, entusiasta e affettuoso. Adora salutarti ogni volta che ti unisci a lui nel cortile o nella sua stanza. È estremamente giocoso e può essere occupato per ore con tutti i tipi di giochi - ama particolarmente il gioco del tiro alla fune. Gunner può camminare per ore con il personale e volontari e ama specialmente le visite al riserva naturale vicino a Freshfields. Sarebbe veramente un compagno fedele, incoraggerebbe te a trascorrere del tempo con lui all'esterno e fargli vedere e esplorare più del mondo. Gunner è vaccinato, aggiornato con trattamenti contro pulci e vermi e ha subito la castrazione mentre era con noi. Gunner non ha nemmeno 4 anni, merita di vivere una vita divertente e piena fuori dai canili. Sappiamo che la persona giusta è là fuori per lui. The vets could not bring themselves to put to sleep a perfectly healthy dog so got permission from the owners to rescue him. Luckily, Gunner was given a second chance and in less than 24 hours, he found himself at Freshfields ready to find his forever home. Unfortunately, due to how Gunner came to be in our care, we have a limited known history of him in terms of his behaviour in a home. Following on from behavioural assessments and just spending time with this amazing dog, we have learnt so much about him: – Gunner is house trained and makes no mess in his room when left overnight. – Gunner is a gentle giant; he has never shown any aggression or nervousness towards people. – He loves his food and has no known allergies or intolerances. – He is currently quite unsure around other dogs and can get a bit giddy. With more exposure and training, this will definitely improve and is something our kennels team are working on. Gunner walks nicely on the lead however at over 34kg, he will need someone with the strength to be able to manage him and he may only be suitable in a household with older children. Gunner is a very energetic, enthusiastic and affectionate dog. He loves greeting you anytime you join him on the yard or in his room. He’s extremely playful and can be occupied for hours with all sorts of toys – he especially loves a game of tug of war. Gunner can walk for hours with staff and volunteers and especially loves trips to the nature reserve near Freshfields. He would truly be a loyal companion, would encourage you to spend time with him outside and letting him see and explore more of the world. Gunner is vaccinated, up to date with flea and worm treatment and has been neutered while on site with us. Gunner is not even 4 years old, he deserves to live a fun, full life outside of kennels.
