Polish English German He arrived at the shelter in Choszczno in August 2024. For almost two years now, he’s been waking up every day in his shelter kennel. We’d really like him not to have to spend another year of his life here. Before, his world was very small—cages, kennels, and nothing else. Only now is he learning what life is all about: walks, the world around him, and the feeling of safety when he’s with a human. On walks, he absorbs everything with his whole being. He strides forward joyfully, sniffs around, observes carefully, and every now and then glances at his human, checking to see if they’re still there. He’s full of positive energy and has such a beautiful, genuine doggy smile. He doesn’t always respond to his name yet, but he’s very open to human contact. He knows the sound of a treat bag perfectly well already. Imbir is calm around other dogs and doesn’t seek out conflicts. In his kennel, he lives with an anxious female dog, whom he makes feel safe. He also does great outside the shelter—he’s not scared of the city or street traffic. He’s about 7 years old, weighs 23 kg, is neutered, and vaccinated. He truly deserves his own home—a real one—with a human who’ll show him that the best part of his life might just be ahead of him. Bardzo byśmy chcieli, żeby nie musiał spędzać tu kolejnego roku życia Wcześniej jego świat był bardzo mały — zamknięcie, boks i nic poza tym. Dopiero teraz uczy się życia. Spacerów, świata i tego, że przy człowieku można czuć się bezpiecznie. Na spacerach chłonie wszystko całym sobą. Idzie przed siebie z radością, węszy, obserwuje i co jakiś czas zerka na człowieka, sprawdzając czy nadal jest obok. Ma w sobie dużo pozytywnej energii i taki piękny, szczery psi uśmiech. Jeszcze nie zawsze reaguje na imię, ale jest bardzo otwarty na kontakt z człowiekiem. Szelest woreczka ze smaczkami już doskonale zna Imbir jest spokojny wobec innych psów, nie szuka konfliktów. W boksie mieszka z lękową sunią, której daje poczucie bezpieczeństwa. Dobrze radzi sobie też poza schroniskiem, nie przeraża go miasto ani ruch uliczny. Ma około 7 lat, waży 23 kg, jest wykastrowany i zaszczepiony. Bardzo zasługuje na swój dom. Taki prawdziwy.
