Jason came to Farplace in March 2022 from another rescue, after being labelled as both FIV positive and feral. Thankfully, the charity refused to accept the recommendation that he should be put to sleep simply because of this, and Jason was given the chance he deserved. During his time with us, Jason developed a painful mouth condition caused by a virus and needed extensive dental treatment. He had all of his teeth removed and required medication for some time afterwards, but we’re delighted to say that he has made a full recovery and is now doing really well. During his investigations, further testing also showed that Jason is not actually FIV positive. This meant that he was able to receive his vaccinations and opened up more options for managing his health. He’s now doing brilliantly and has put all of that behind him. Jason is a very friendly and beautiful boy, although he can be a little shy and timid when meeting new people. Once he gets to know you, his lovely personality really comes through. He gets on very well with other cats and currently lives happily with our FIV boys. We’d love for him to go to a home with one of his feline friends, as they have formed some lovely bonds, although he doesn’t necessarily need to go with one of his current companions. Jason is such a handsome boy with beautiful markings, and after everything he’s been through, we’re really hoping someone will give him the chance to show them what a wonderful companion he can be. Jason needs an indoor-only home. A secure catio or enclosed garden would be a lovely bonus, but isn’t essential. As with all of our cats, Jason will leave Farplace castrated, microchipped and vaccinated, with his flea and worm treatment up to date, and following a full health check. We’ll also provide you with a full copy of his veterinary records to keep for your own records when he goes off to his new home.
