Purtroppo Kimi è arrivata a Last Chance Animal Rescue ad Edenbridge, Kent, molto sovrappeso. Aveva difficoltà a camminare e, dopo ulteriori indagini, è risultato che purtroppo ha una lussazione delle rotule in entrambe le ginocchia. A causa dell'energia di Kimi, salta intorno nella sua gabbia rendendo impossibile la recupero post-operatorio, quindi viene tenuta comoda con farmaci ed sta bene con essi. Kimi è un Rottweiler nero e tinto e ha 8 anni. Da quando ha scoperto l'amore per le passeggiate e i palloni, è riuscita a perdere peso ma ha ancora bisogno di perdere alcuni chili. Kimi è ossessionata dai suoi giocattoli e soprattutto dai palloni. La troverai sempre con un pallone in bocca, sia che sia in passeggiata o sdraiata nel suo letto, avrà sempre un gioco. Lo considera come un copertina di conforto e ovunque vada, un gioco andrà con lei. Kimi è molto buona con le persone che conosce, tuttavia può volerci tempo per costruire fiducia con lei. Kimi apprezza un po' di coccole e attenzione ma solo sulle sue condizioni e per un breve periodo. Kimi è più felice essere vicino a te piuttosto che su di te come un cane da salotto. Kimi ama il suo spazio, ma vuole sapere che sei intorno, quindi preferirebbe sedersi nel suo letto circondato dai suoi giochi con te alla sua vista così sa che non è sola. Una delle rare caratteristiche che tutti gli operatori amano, se ti permette di sbirciare, sono le "piante dei piedi a pelle di maiale" sulle sue zampe. Kimi cerca una casa esperta per adulti soltanto senza altri animali. Sadly, Kimi came to Last Chance Animal Rescue in Edenbridge, Kent, severely overweight. She was struggling to walk and, after further investigation, it was discovered she unfortunately has luxating patella in both her knees. Due to Kimi being energetic, she jumps around in her kennel making the recovery post-surgery not possible, so she is kept comfortable with medication and is doing well on it. Kimi is a black and tan Rottweiler and is 10 years old. Since finding her love for walks and balls, she has managed to shed the weight but is still in need of losing those last few kilos. Kimi is absolutely obsessed with her toys and mainly balls. You will always find her with a ball in her mouth, whether she is out on a walk or laying in her bed, she will have a toy. She treats it as a comfort blanket and wherever she goes, a toy will go with her. Kimi is great with the people she knows, however it can take time to build up trust with her. Kimi does enjoy a fuss and some attention but only on her terms and only for a short period. Kimi is happiest being near and with you rather than on you like a lap dog. Kimi likes her own space, but likes to know you are around, so would prefer to sit in her bed surrounded by her toys with you in her eyesight so she knows she is not alone. One of Kimi’s rare features which the staff all love, if she allows you to sneak a glance, is her ‘pig skin pads' on her paws. Kimi is looking for an experienced adult-only home with no other pets.
