Lassie è arrivata da un allevatore per trovare la sua casa per sempre. Lassie cercherà una casa tranquilla e silenziosa, riservata agli adulti, dove potrà ambientarsi al suo ritmo. Sarebbe meglio se gli adottatori avessero esperienza con la razza e con i cani preoccupati. Cercherà una casa dove ci fosse almeno un altro cane gentile e giocoso che potesse essere suo amico e guida. Si intende egregiamente con tutti i cani qui e socializza bene con una varietà di razze e dimensioni. Non può essere adottata con gatti o piccoli pelosi. Non le piace condividere il cibo con altri cani, quindi gli adottatori dovranno assicurarsi che venga alimentata separatamente e dovranno separarla anche quando si danno cibi o giochi che durano a lungo. Lassie oggi cammina bene al guinzaglio e adorerà trovare una casa attiva dove potrà fare tante passeggiate e avventure con la sua nuova famiglia e dove il suo intelligente cervello del collie possa essere stimolato sia mentalmente che fisicamente. Lassie has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived she was a very nervous girl as she had not had much experience with people, so everything felt very new and overwhelming to her. She could be quite skittish when approached and was worried about meeting new people and being handled. Since then her confidence has started to really grow. Once she gets to know you, she is the most loyal, loving and affectionate girl and it's so wonderful to see. Lassie will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home where she can settle in at her own pace. She would benefit from adopters who have breed experience and experience with worried dogs. She will be looking for a home where there was at least one other kind and playful resident dog to be her friend and guide. She gets on brilliantly with all dogs here out and about and socialises well with a variety of breeds and sizes. However, we have found that she is most comfortable sharing her home with other Collies and will therefore need a home with at least one resident Collie. She cannot be homed with cats or small furries. She doesn't like to share her food with other dogs, so her adopters would need to ensure she was fed separately and would need to separate when feeding any long last treats or chews too. Lassie now walks well on a lead and would love to find an active home where she can go on lots of walks and adventures with her new family and where her clever collie brain can be kept both mentally and physically stimulated. She is only used to walking in quiet areas, so would need gentle introduction to any busier places. Lassie has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles into the home and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. With time, patience, and lots of love, Lassie will blossom. Once she has settled and gained confidence, she will become a cracking addition to her new family and will enjoy all the adventures life has to offer. Lassie will need more than one meet and greet with her prospective adopters to allow her time to build a bond and feel comfortable with them before being adopted. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
