Ciao, sono Mango, un bellissimo Cacatua giallo crestato! Ciao, mi chiamo Mango e sono un bel ragazzo che ama ballare e parlare e a volte mi piace gridare molto forte così tutti mi sentono. Mi piace mordere scatole e legno e praticamente qualsiasi cosa che sembra mordibile. Sono un buon ragazzo la maggior parte del tempo, ma a volte vengo rimproverato perché c'è qualcosa di cui non sono sicuro riguardo ai piedi del mio umano. È come se avessi semplicemente l'impulso di tuffarmi su di loro, quindi penso che il mio umano dovrebbe indossare le scarpe in modo da essere più al sicuro quando l'impulso si attiva! Storia/Background: Mango è tornato nella nostra onlus senza colpa sua. Condizione attuale: Mango è un uccello bellissimo, ma ha sfilacciato alcune delle sue piume. Addestramento: Mango è generalmente ben comportato, ma ha alcuni problemi continui con l'attaccamento eccessivo, quindi deve essere fatto attenzione per evitare che si stimoli troppo durante le interazioni. Sa come salire, ma solo sui suoi termini! Alimentazione: Mango apprezzia una dieta di miscela di semi Johnston e Jeff Lean and Fit, patate lesse senza latticini, frutta e verdura fresche, e occasionalmente uova strapazzate o cotte. I suoi problemi di attaccamento dovranno essere monitorati e può essere rumoroso a volte (come con la maggior parte dei cacatua). Preferisce le donne, ma potrebbe essere possibile che si riscaldi verso un uomo sicuro, poiché ha occasionalmente salito per uomini in passato. Mango preferirebbe stare in una casa senza bambini piccoli. Preferibilmente 13+ in quanto il rumore può renderlo un po' stressato. Hi, I’m Mango, a beautiful Citron-crested Cockatoo! Hi, my name is Mango and I am a delightful boy who likes to dance and chat and sometimes I like to shout really loud so everybody hears me. I like to chew my way through boxes and wood and pretty much anything that looks chewable. I'm a good boy most of the time, but I do get told off sometimes because there is something I'm not sure about when it comes to my human’s feet. It's like I just get an urge to dive at them, so I think my human should wear shoes so they are safer when my urge kicks in! History/Background: Mango came back into the charity through no fault of his own. Current Condition: Mango is a beautiful bird, but he has plucked some of his feathers. Training: Mango is generally well behaved, but has some ongoing problems with overbonding, so care must be taken to ensure that he does not get overstimulated when being interacted with. He knows how to step up but on his terms only! Diet: Mango enjoys a diet of Johnston and Jeff Lean and Fit seed mix, as well as dairy free mashed potato, fresh fruit and vegetables, and the occasional scrambled or poached egg! He loves banana, and enjoys apples, oranges and grapes. Enrichment: He loves boxes and wood to chew up and enjoys being out of his cage all day, with dried banana chips hidden around to encourage him to forage. He also likes to play with coconut shells! He has learned to enjoy showers now too! Summary: Mango is a beautiful boy with so much love to give. His overbonding issues will need to be monitored and he can be noisy at times (as with most cockatoos). He does prefer women, but it may be possible that he could warm to a confident male carer as he has occasionally stepped up for men in the past. Mango would prefer to be in a home without young children. Preferably 13+ as the noise can make him a bit stressed. He is very good at going to bed, but he will be very upset if you don't say goodnight to him! This boy deserves the best life and so much love, care, and attention.
