Marit è una gatta nera femmina nata intorno al 2015. È arrivata al Cat Shelter tramite l'ufficio della Contea di Västmanland dopo aver vissuto randagia fuori Västerås. Quando Marit è arrivata da noi, era spaventata e si nascondeva la maggior parte del tempo. Dopo un po', però, ha iniziato a mostrare un lato socievole e curioso. È molto amichevole con il cibo e spesso chiacchiera con noi. Marit è una ragazza eccentrica con un lato audace e avventuroso. Mentre alcune gatte fuggono da un aspirapolvere, lei si avvicinerà per indagare. Le piace la compagnia e mi seguirà in giro per casa, facendo le fusa contro le mie gambe, ama dormire sul letto e è una fan delle carezze dalla testa alla coda. Ha un lato battagliero, quindi ti ricorderà che è lei la padrona se la accarezzi nel modo sbagliato con un rapido schiaffo, ma imparerai rapidamente quando è un po' brontolona! Nonostante sia una vecchia signora, è molto giocosa, ama colpire i giocattoli in giro per casa e inseguire la sera. Non miagola o fa rumori forti, ma a volte si sentono cinguettii molto morbidi quando è eccitata. Si tiene pulita e è ordinata con la lettiera. È un personaggio così divertente, vorrei solo che lei e il mio gatto si fossero d'accordo per tenerla! Marit ha lo stomaco sensibile e quindi ha bisogno di cibo speciale (cibo per allergia). Ha anche la perdita dei denti. I denti che ha rimasti sono sani per ora, ma c'è il rischio che possa aver bisogno di più denti estratti più avanti nella vita.

MARIT är en svart honkatt född ca 2015. Hon kom till Katthemmet via Länsstyrelsen i Västmanland efter att ha levt hemlös utanför Västerås. När Marit först kom till oss var hon rädd och höll sig gömd mesta delen av tiden. Efter ett tag började hon dock visa en social och nyfiken sida. Hon är mycket matglad och i samband med det gosar hon gärna med oss. Marit is a quirky girl who has a bold, adventurous side. While some cats run away from a vacuum cleaner, she will run towards it to investigate. She loves company and will follow me around the house, purring against my legs, loves to sleep on the bed, and is a fan of scratches from head to tail. She has a feisty side, so she’ll remind you that she’s the boss if you pat her the wrong way with a quick slap, but you’ll learn quickly when she’s getting a bit cranky! Despite being an old lady, she’s very playful, loves hitting toys around the house, and chasing in the evening. She doesn’t meow or say anything loud, but occasionally you’ll hear very soft chirps when she’s excited. She keeps herself clean and is tidy with the litterbox. She is such a funny character, I just wish she and my cat had got along to keep her! Marit har en känslig mage och står därför på specialkost (allergifoder). Hon har också tandlossning. Tänderna hon har kvar är friska i nuläget men risk finns att hon måste dra fler tänder senare i livet.
