The Hope team had already been dealing with another young dog when they spotted a little puppy at the bus terminus in Vogošća. She was alone in a place where traffic was an obvious danger, and there was also the very real risk that the dog catchers would find her. They faced one of those decisions that happens all too often in rescue work. There was always another dog needing help, always another veterinary bill to pay, but leaving this little girl behind simply did not feel like an option. She was taken straight to the vet, where she was estimated to be around three to five months old and approximately 10 kg. She was slightly anaemic and dehydrated, signs that life on the streets had already begun to take its toll on such a young dog. Despite all of that, the description that came back from the vet was wonderfully simple: she was very gentle and beautiful.
