Adottare Polly and Slinky

Slinky può essere descritta come una forza della natura adorabile la cui vita gira attorno a quanti premi riesce a indurti a dargliene. In secondo luogo, adora giocare con noi (e con Polly) e portarci il suo pesce di gatto preferito di erba gatta. Ama chiamarci e consegnarci detto pesce, ed è diventato un rito che osserviamo diverse volte al giorno (dovete ringraziarla per questo pasto nonostante la sua inedibilità!). Ha anche un canino mancante, che le dà un'espressione tenera quando alza lo sguardo. Adora essere accarezzata sulla testa e avere il naso grattato (non preoccupatevi, vi mostreremo dal vivo). Le piace anche un'accurata strusciata sulla schiena, ma è una signora delicata che preferisce essere toccata a suo modo. Da due anni dalla sua riscattata, Slinky ha sviluppato un'allergia cutanea che colpisce la sua gamba. La gestiamo con una pillola steroidea e un antistaminico quotidiani, che ama prendere insieme ai suoi premi. Nonostante siamo esperti allevatori, somministrare pillole ai gatti non era mai stato il nostro forte, quindi siamo estremamente grati che Slinky le prenda volontariamente! A lungo termine vorremmo ridurre lo steroide e gestire la gamba pruriginosa con gli antistaminici. Oltre a intrattenerci con le sue burlone, passa la maggior parte del tempo dormendo dentro scatole di cartone e occupando spazio quanto possibile accanto a noi nel letto. Adora Polly e ama pulirla ogni volta che ne ha l'occasione. Polly è due volte la taglia della sua mamma, e nonostante abbia quasi 3 anni mantiene i suoi comportamenti da cucciolo. Ha un'enorme quantità di energia per giocare e ti porterà i suoi giocattoli ogni volta che vuole che ti unisca a lei. Condivide le capacità vocali della sua mamma e ti chiamerà dolcemente ogni volta che abbandoni i tuoi compiti con i giocattoli. È un animale intelligente che comunica chiaramente i suoi bisogni. Le piace anche rotolarsi sui tappeti, veramente all'altezza del suo nome. Era molto timida quando è arrivata da noi, ma è sbocciata in un gatto che ama dormire sul nostro letto e farsi accarezzare. Durante i mesi più freddi, ama fare le pisolini sulle nostre gambe e guardare la TV. Come sua madre, seguirà sempre noi per tutta la casa come un'ombra e si rilasserà nella sua scatola preferita quando è stanca (o nella sua gabbia per il trasporto, stranamente!). Per finire, una delle sue molte passioni è cacciare mosche, quindi non preoccupatevi se vedete saltare e girare nell'aria! Se volete dare a Slinky, Binky e Rolly Polly una possibilità di vivere i loro migliori anni in una casa amorevole con un giardino, contattateci. Fino ad allora, saranno al sicuro sotto la nostra cura, cacciando mosche e accumulando scatole di cartone. Si prega di notare che trovano i bambini piccoli soffocanti, quindi andrebbero meglio con adolescenti/adulti. Sono curiosi ma temono i cani. Slinky can be best described as an adorable force of nature whose life revolves around how many treats she can dupe you into providing her. Second to that, she adores playing with us (and Polly) and fetching us her favourite catnip fish. She loves to call out to us and deliver said fish, and it has become a ritual we observe multiple times a day (you must thank her for this meal despite its inedibility!). She is also missing a canine, which gives her an endearing snarl whenever she looks up. She loves being pet on the head and having her nose rubbed (fear not, we’ll demonstrate live). She does love a back rub, too, but she’s a dainty lady who prefers to be touched on her own terms. In the two years since her rescue, Slinky developed what appears to be a dermal allergy that affects her leg. We manage it with a small steroid pill and an antihistamine daily, which she loves to take alongside her treats. Despite being experienced fosterers, pilling cats was never our forte, so we’re extremely grateful that Slinky willingly takes her pills! Long-term, we’d like to wean her off the steroid and manage the itchy leg with antihistamines. Beyond keeping us entertained with her shenanigans, she spends most of her time sleeping in cardboard boxes and taking as much space as possible next to us in bed. She dotes on Polly and enjoys grooming her every chance she gets. Polly is twice her mum’s size, and despite being almost 3 years old, maintains her kittenish habits. She has an endless amount of energy for playing, and will bring you her toys whenever she wants you to join her. She shares her mum’s vocal abilities and will cutely call to you whenever you abandon your toy-wielding duties. She’s an intelligent creature who communicates her needs very clearly. She also enjoys rolling around carpets, truly living up to her name. She was quite timid when she came to us, but has blossomed into a cat that loves to sleep in our bed and be pet. During the colder months, she loves to nap on our legs and watch TV. Like her mum, she’ll follow us around the house like a shadow and chill out in her favourite box when she’s tired (or her transport cage, oddly enough!). Lastly, one of her many passions is fly-hunting, so don’t be alarmed when you see her bounce and spin in the air! Until then, they’ll be safely in our care, hunting flies and hoarding cardboard boxes. Please note, they find small children overwhelming, so they'd do best with teens/adults.
