Rigas è un cane adulto con il cuore di un cucciolo. Quello che ha affrontato nella sua vita, ha mantenuto la sua innocenza e la sua gioia. L'abbiamo preso dal rifugio comunale di Tripoli, dove era affamato e incerto rispetto al mondo intorno a lui. Di lui sappiamo solo che una volta apparteneva a qualcuno. Per qualche motivo, si è ritrovato solo. Ma i cani non si preoccupano di ciò che è stato. Vivono nel presente, con tutto il cuore. Rigas è un ricordo quotidiano di questo. Più di ogni altra cosa, Rigas desidera un legame. Si rivolge alle persone con un'enorme entusiasmo quasi adolescenziale, ama liberamente e apertamente. I limiti e la guida necessari per sentirsi sicuro e bilanciato arriveranno dalla persona che sceglierà di adottarlo. Perché Rigas è un cane tenero, giocoso e di buon umore, semplicemente in attesa della sua opportunità. È brillante e desideroso di imparare. Ha già vissuto in un ambiente protetto accanto ad altri cani e gatti e si è adattato perfettamente. È abituato alla gabbia, entra da solo per riposare e conosce il ritmo della vita familiare. Rigas sarebbe più felice con persone che vogliono condividere una vita attiva con il loro cane, che apprezzano il tempo al mare o in natura, e che sono pronte a investire energia e cura necessarie per una vera partnership. Con la sua persona accanto, sarà felice durante le passeggiate che ama e, quando la giornata finisce, si stenderà sul suo letto a casa, silenziosamente ricordandogli quanto bene possa essere la vita.

Rigas is an adult dog with a puppy’s heart. Whatever he has faced in his life, he has held on to his innocence and his joy. We took him in from the municipal shelter in Tripoli, where he was hungry and unsure of the world around him. All we know about his past is that he once belonged to someone. Somehow, he ended up alone. But dogs do not dwell on what came before. They live in the present, wholeheartedly. Rigas is a daily reminder of that. More than anything, Rigas wants connection. He reaches out to people with an almost adolescent enthusiasm, loving freely and openly. The guidance and boundaries he needs in order to feel secure and balanced will come from the person who chooses to adopt him. Because Rigas is a tender, playful, good-natured dog who is simply waiting for his chance. He is bright and eager to learn. He has already lived in a foster home alongside other dogs and cats and adjusted beautifully. He is comfortable with a crate, enters it on his own to rest, and is familiar with the rhythm of family life. Rigas would be happiest with people who want to share an active life with their dog, who enjoy time by the sea or in nature, and who are ready to invest the energy and care that a true partnership requires. With his person beside him, he will delight in the walks he loves and, when the day is done, stretch out on his bed at home, quietly reminding them how good life can be.
