Aggiornamento 14.8.2025: Guarda quella faccia. La sua personalità è piena di bizzarrie e divertimento! Ha 1 anno e 9 mesi e pesa 21 kg. Rocco è stato raccolto da un caffè locale l'anno scorso. Era coperto di segni di morsi quando è arrivato al rifugio. Cosa potrebbe essere successo a questo animale per essere stato sottoposto a tanto abuso? Non lo sai però, se le sue cicatrici non fossero così evidenti perché il suo cuore dice il contrario. È estremamente amichevole con gli umani e adora l'attenzione. Non ha mostrato alcun disturbo nel suo carattere dalla sua oscura storia passata. Ha molto energia e ama giocare con la sua fidanzata Lucky. Ha bisogno di stimolazione mentale e fisica ma soprattutto deve imparare a calmarsi. È abituato a camminare al guinzaglio e conosce alcuni comandi base come sedersi o aspettare il cibo. La sua storia: Ieri abbiamo ricevuto una chiamata da un caffè qui a Chania riguardo a un Staffie, coperto di ferite, esausto, che non voleva lasciare l'esercizio. Abbiamo contattato Hari (forse vi ricorderete di Hari da Reino, il cane che ha cambiato la legge greca). Hari ha un debole per i maltrattatori e immediatamente si è recato per prendere questo piccolo uomo. Ha accettato di adottarlo. Ovviamente non sapevamo niente dell'animale e ho ripetuto a Hari di essere cauto nel suo trattamento. Hari ha anche il suo cane, Buddy, a casa. Bene le foto e la conversazione che sono seguite erano adorabili. Come dice Hari, "questo tizio è morbido". Lunedì vedrà il veterinario per le sue ferite. Lo teniamo aggiornato. Sostieni Rocco Oggi! Rocco was picked up from a local coffee shop last year. He was covered in bite marks when he came to the shelter. What could have gone on with this animal to have been subjected to such abuse? You wouldn’t know it though, if his scars wouldn’t be so apparent because his heart says otherwise. He’s incredibly friendly with humans and just adores attention. He hasn’t shown any disturbances in his characters from his dark past. He has a lot of energy and loves to play with his girlfriend Lucky. He needs mental and physical stimulation but above all he must also learn to calm down. He’s familiar with walking on a leash and knows some basics like sit or to wait for his food. Update July 2025: Rocco is still at our shelter. Update October 2024: Update September 2024: Yesterday we got a call from a cafe here in Chania about a Staffie, covered in wounds, exhausted, who would not leave their establishment. We contacted Hari (you might remember Hari from Reino, the dog that changed Greek Law). Hari has a soft spot for bullies and immediately jetted over to pick this little guy up. He agreed to foster him. We obviously did not know anything about the animal and I repeated to Hari to be cautious in his handling. Hari also has his own dog, Buddy at home. Well the photos and conversation that followed were adorable. As Hari says, “this guy is mush”. On Monday he will see the vet for his wounds. Support Rocco Today!
