Ora a Los Infiernos Sandy è stato diagnosticato con Leishmania che può essere controllato con un farmaco economico giornaliero. Rapporto di volontaria di Fina 25 dicembre: Sandy è compagno di Milly e ha fatto grandi progressi. Ora fa passeggiate e in estate erano gli unici due che non permettevano a nessuno di toccarli a causa della sua Leishmania e dei suoi timori. Sarebbe un sogno realizzato trovare una casa per lui dopo tanti anni. Si intende bene con cani e gatti, cammina molto lentamente e obbedisce a tutto. È molto sottomesso. Fa bene le passeggiate al guinzaglio e ama conoscere altri cani. Non ha problemi con i gatti e voleva solo giocare con Tess quando l'ha incontrata. Pupdate da volontaria Ruth 07/02/26: Sandy. È un furto di cuori. Sta guadagnando fiducia e sta godendo delle sue passeggiate ora. È molto attratto dagli altri cani e tutti i cani che ha conosciuto lo hanno apprezzato e lui li ha apprezzati. Appena vede un cane agita la sua lunga coda. Quando è tornato nella sua gabbia il suo atteggiamento è cambiato e si è nascosto in un angolo tremante. È molto triste, odia stare lì. Commenti di volontaria 11/02/26: Sandy è un bel cane che cammina bene ma molto nervoso e non gli piace che gli tocchino la testa si sussulta povero animale. Now at Los Infiernos Sandy has been diagnosed with Leishmania which can be controlled with an inexpensive tablet daily. Volunteer report from Fina December 25: Sandy is Milly's companion, and he has also made great progress. He now goes for walks, and in the summer they were the only two who wouldn't let anyone touch them because of his Leishmania and his fears. It would be a dream come true to find him a home after so many years. He gets on well with dogs and cats, walks very slowly and obeys everything. He is very submissive. Walks very well on the lead and loves meeting other dogs. No problem with cats and just wanted to play with Tess when he met her. Pupdate from volunteer Ruth 07/02/26: Sandy. He’s a heart stealer. He is gaining confidence and is enjoying his walks now. He is very drawn to other dogs and all the dogs he met liked him and he liked them. As soon as he sees a dog he wags his very long tail. When he went back into his kennel his demeanor changed and he hid in a corner looking petrified. It’s very sad, he hates being in there.
