Conosci il nostro bellissimo cane da corsa, Shadow! Shadow è un ragazzo molto vivace che è stato molto amichevole con il nostro personale e i volontari da quando è entrato nel nostro rifugio. Essendo un ex cane da corsa, ha un forte istinto di caccia quindi potrebbe provare a inseguire le scimmie durante le sue passeggiate! Era in compagnia di un altro cane nella sua gabbia prima che lei andasse a casa e camminerà bene con altri cani da corsa. Sembra però incerto con altre razze di cani, specialmente quelle più piccole e sarà piuttosto rumoroso verso di loro. Il personale e i volontari gli stanno facendo un addestramento di socializzazione e sta migliorando lentamente, la sua nuova famiglia dovrà continuare questo per aiutarlo a migliorare ulteriormente. Shadow passerà la maggior parte della sua vita in gabbia a causa del suo background da correttore, quindi potrebbe sentirsi un po' nervoso nell'ambiente domestico. Non sappiamo neppure se è abituato a stare in casa o ad usare il bagno a causa di ciò. Adora sdraiarsi sui suoi comodi letti dopo le sue passeggiate - a volte lo sorprendiamo a stare a testa in giù a mostrare il ventre!

Meet our gorgeous ex racing greyhound, Shadow! Shadow is a very cheeky boy has been super friendly to our staff and volunteers since he came in to our care. With him being an ex racer, he does have a high prey drive so can try to chase squirrels whilst out for his walks! He was paired in his kennel prior to her going home and will walk well with other greyhounds. He does seem unsure around other breeds of dogs, especially smaller breeds and will be quite vocal towards them. The staff and volunteers have been doing socialisation training with him here and he is improving slowly, his new family would need to continue this to help with improve further. Shadow will have spent most of his life in kennels with his racing background, so he may feel a little nervous going in to a home environment. We also do not know if he is house trained or toilet trained due to this. He loves to lie in his comfy beds after his walks – we sometimes catch him upside down showing his belly off!
