Hagrid, magico, bello e, con i suoi 36 kg, non così grande (!) ha una storia triste. Adottato dalla Romania, ha vissuto con la sua famiglia - mamma, papà e il fratello border collie - perfettamente felice per quattro anni... finché la mamma di Hagrid non è rimasta incinta. Hagrid ha preso molto sul serio il suo compito di proteggere mamma e bambino (è dopotutto una razza da guardia!) avvertendo le persone di tenersi lontane e correggendo il suo border collie quando si eccitava troppo. Tutto questo ha messo Hagrid nei guai e nonostante (o forse a causa di) la sua devozione, la famiglia di Hagrid ha deciso di non poterlo tenere più. * Il nostro comportamentalista, Julian, ha visitato Hagrid a casa e può dirvi che, sebbene Hagrid abbia sbagliato un po', le sue intenzioni erano del tutto onorevoli. Con una guida amorevole e ferma, crediamo che Hagrid farà un fantastico animale domestico di famiglia. Affettuoso, devoto, ridicolmente bello, gentile con le persone, addestrato alla toeletta, docile al guinzaglio, non distruttivo... pensiamo che Hagrid meriti la possibilità di dimostrare quanto sia davvero magico. Hagrid ha bisogno di essere l'unico cane in casa. Le famiglie con bambini di età superiore ai 14 anni sono invitate a fare domanda.

Magical, handsome and, at 32kg, actually not that big (!) Hagrid’s story is a sad tale. Adopted from Romania, Hagrid lived with his family - mum, dad and border collie brother - perfectly happily for four years…..until Hagrid’s mum became pregnant. Hagrid took his job of protecting mum and baby very seriously (he is after all a guardian breed!) warning people to keep away and correcting his border collie brother when he got too excited. All this landed Hagrid in trouble and despite (or perhaps because of) his devotion, Hagrid’s family decided they couldn’t keep him anymore. Our behaviourist, Julian visited Hagrid in the home and can tell you that although Hagrid got it all a bit wrong, his intentions were entirely honourable. Now, after nearly 10 months in kennels, Hagrid has moved to a foster home where he is displaying some anxiety about his sudden change of surroundings. He comes in for love and then doesn’t quite know how to manage his emotions about it! There is no doubt it will take time for Hagrid to trust people again but with loving, firm guidance he would make a beautiful companion. Loving, devoted, ridiculously handsome, housetrained, gentle on the lead, not destructive …..we think Hagrid deserves a chance to prove how magical he really is. Hagrid needs to be the only pet in the home, ideally with a garden.
