Star è un bel bouwho che ha appena ritirato dalla corsa e ora cerca un amabile ambiente per iniziare una nuova fase. Essendo appena arrivato da noi, Star può essere un po' incerto e nervoso in nuovi ambienti, il che è perfettamente comprensibile dopo un cambiamento così grande. Nonostante questo, ha già dimostrato di essere un ragazzo molto amichevole e dolce che sta godendo di conoscere i suoi curatori. Star cammina bene con la guinzaglio e la cingia e si è mostrato calmo quando passa altri cani, spesso facendo un amichevole scodinzolamento. Tuttavia, poiché non è mai stato presentato formalmente ad altri cani, il suo comportamento intorno a loro rimane sconosciuto. A causa del suo background come Greyhound da corsa, dovrà essere l'unico animale domestico in casa. Come molti ex corridori, Star probabilmente non ha mai vissuto in un ambiente domestico. Questo significa che i suoi adottatori dovranno essere pazienti e comprensivi mentre impara nuove routine, inclusi l'addestramento alla pipì e l'adattamento alla vita quotidiana in casa. Con il tempo e l'incoraggiamento, Star ha tutto il potenziale per diventare un meraviglioso compagno. Mangia bene ed non ha mostrato segni di difesa dei propri beni. Star è stato brevemente visitato dal nostro veterinario e avrà bisogno di un controllo dentale; presenta anche alcuna perdita di pelo sulle gambe e sul corpo che monitoreremo. Star pesa poco meno di 30 kg e misura circa 72 cm alle spalle... un ragazzo alto ed elegante pieno d'amore da dare. Poiché Star è con noi da pochi giorni, stiamo ancora cercando di conoscerlo meglio e aggiorniamo il suo profilo man mano che scopriamo di più. Star is a handsome bouwho has recently retired from racing and is now looking for a loving home to begin his next chapter. Having only just arrived with us, Star can be a little unsure and nervous in new surroundings -which is completely understandable after such a big change. Despite this, he has already shown himself to be a very friendly and gentle boy who is enjoying getting to know his carers. Star walks well on a lead and harness and has been calm when passing other dogs, often giving a friendly wag of his tail. However, as he has never been formally introduced to other dogs, his behaviour around them is still unknown. Due to his background as a racing Greyhound, he will need to be the only pet in the home. Like many ex-racers, Star has likely never experienced life in a home environment. This means his adopters will need to be patient and understanding as he learns new routines, including housetraining and settling into everyday home life. With time and reassurance, Star has all the potential to become a wonderful companion. He is currently eating well and has shown no signs of resource guarding. Star has been briefly checked by our vet and will require a dental, and he also has some hair loss on his legs and body which we will continue to monitor. Star weighs just under 30kg and stands approximately 72cm at the shoulder…a tall, elegant boy with lots of love to give. As Star has only been with us a few days, we are still getting to know him and will update his profile as we learn more.
